Safe cars!
So,let's drive tanks or armor personnel carriers! That's safety at it's best! Why compromise?! "Work for gas" would make a nice sign and might be a way of life! It's hard to follow the logic of some people!Safety doesn't consist on how big is your car but how other drivers are driving! If a 18 weeler hits you SUV you'll likely be history! So, the argument that small cars are safety problems is a little silly! Enforcing the traffic laws and cracking down on speeders and reckless drivers would bring more security on the roads for everyone! Bring the Nano's and enforce the laws!
It doesn't matter how safe this nano car is, it will never be as safe as a big SUV. I compare this car as driving a motorcycle, it's not meant for everybody. If the price is around $3,500.00, it would make a nice commuter car for me.
Are these cheap cars all they are CRACKED UP to be?
I think it's great that people are coming out with ways to save money when it comes to transportation but I feel that there is an invisible line drawn as to where safety should not be compromised, no matter how exciting a cheap car can be. I started freaking out when the Geo's and other small cars came out. I decided then that the size of one of THOSE cars was too small when it comes to safety, crumple zones and such. I've seen pictures of the nano car and it screams 'death trap' to me if it has a collision with a stray dog! I've never been to India and traffic, I'm sure things are much different than here in the U.S.. Our roads seem to be much more open and free-flowing than the congested streets I've seen pictures of in other crowded (populatilon) countries such as India, where a nano car would seem to have a much better fit.
