Destination: Superstition Mountains near Phoenix, AZ
Best deal found: The best deals are free! We went on this hike in the foothills of the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix, AZ. Parking and trail access was free and we had the place to our selves. It did cost a few calories but was well worth it.

Destination: Northern Ireland
Best deal found: Everything in Northern Ireland was cheaper than the more tourist based Republic of Ireland. We had to cross the Carrickarede rope bridge to get to the spot where my fiance is on the edge of the northern sea. Here's a link: http://www.travelsinireland.com/northern/carrickarede.htm A bed and breakfast is cheaper and much more fun than hotel stays in Ireland.

Destination: Thailand
Best deal found: Everything in Thailand is inexpensive. We took a 1 1/2 cab ride round trip, elephant show and then rides, river raft ride, buffet lunch, feed the elephants, and 2 stops at local craftsmen shops for $18/person. A nice hotel in Pattaya is $50/nt. Delicious pad thai $2, 2 hr massage $15. Be careful of ripoffs and your surroundings, but the people are service oriented, attentive, and the countryside is beautiful.

Please forgive my geographical ignorance, but it will help if the country where the picture was taking, is also mentioned.
  • Turtle Bay Resort
I am in search of a lovely spot to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in Oct. 08. I immediately went in search of lodging at the Turtle Bay resort and found nothing less than $320 per night. How did Kevin S. find that condo for less than $89 per night? HELP, Please!!

This week's poll
The high cost of jet fuel has a lot of people staying at home this summer instead of traveling. Is there a "staycation" in your immediate future?
Yes, I just can't afford a plane ticket and/or hotel room right now.
No, I've saved up all year just to get away for a bit.
Maybe, I have to wait and see how my finances pan out.
