Destination: The Netherlands
Best deal found: Traveling the country on a Uniworld River Boat. Instead of moving from hotel to hotel, the hotel moved with us. The food, wine and other passengers were fantastic. This is the second Uniworld River Cruise we have taken and they just can't be beat. The picture was taken in the Venice of the North, Giethoorn in early April of this year.

Destination: Scotland
Best deal found: We rented a house for a week with 6 people. Came out very cheap.

Destination: Brugge, Belgium
Best deal found: Brugge is the perfect "walking" town in all of Europe. Some call it the Venice of the North and you'll love the Beer. Food is French in character and universal in good taste.

Destination: Yosemite National Park
Best deal found: During the "off" season (we went middle summer) you have a quieter setting (less tourists) and it cost a lot less. .... But look at the beauty in our own "back yard".

Destination: Dorset County, England
Best deal found: I found Jacket potatoes and bacon for only $10.00 at a centuries old pub near where this photo of Corfe Castle in Dorset County, England was taken. Jacket potatoes are baked potatoes with the skin still on. Not a bad deal considering the dollar is worth about .48¢

What others are saying

  • Best family vacation yet
Visited Valley of the Gods, Arches Nat'l Park, Mesa Verde (in Utah, Utah, and Colorado, respectively). Cashed in frequent flier miles and flew for free. Admission into the parks was either free or cheap (maybe $5/car). Weather in October was perfect, the hiking was very doable, the views were magnificent. These destinations are real gems, and very easy to get to via Salt Lake City.

This week's poll
Many recent college grads don't know how to dress professionally for work. Have you ever thought someone in your workplace was dressed inappropriately?
Yes. I've seen co-workers in outfits that show way too much skin.
No. I work in a very relaxed environment and anything goes.
Maybe. Some clothing I've seen on the job is questionable.
