Best deal found: Friends have a cabin about 20 minutes from where this photo was taken last fall. We are fortunate enough to be able to use the cabin quite often for getaway weekends.

Best deal found: We were approached by a local policeman and paid him an 800 Ruble "bribe" (about $40 US) and got into Lenin's Tomb before any other tourists were allowed inside! Otherwise the wait in line was more than 3 hours!

Best deal found: We happened to be near Bailey's Island, and went through Cundy's Harbor on the way back from an excursion on the water, and saw the sign for the Middlebay Lobster Company. It's a totally no-frills seafood restaurant with concrete floors and folding tables. But let me tell you the best part! Three succulent Maine lobsters for lunch...all for about $24! Where's the melted butter???

Best deal found: Our group stayed at places where you would share a connecting bathroom with another member of the group. The Reed Mat Lodge in Lusaka, Zambia was $38USD for a single room, and you could get a full "English Breakfast" for under $4USD.

Best deal found: On the way to Sedona, AZ via Tucson, my father and I stopped at Arcosanti and purchased several bells. They are truly works of art. Our best deal of the day was staying for lunch. Wonderful food at a good price. This picture was taken in Sedona just as the sky was clearing from an afternoon rain storm. Beautiful.

Best deal found: Photo of us at "LOVE" show (Mirage). We got our room (3/24) at the Plaza on Fremont Street for only $35.00 a night. Not the best casino in Vegas but, you don't stay in your room that much. Staying in the "old" part of Vegas is a plus. You won't kill your self walking to other Casinos. All the casinos are within five blocks. Cheaper food and games but, most are very old hangouts. The Golden Nugget has been redone and looks wonderful with upscale everything. They even have a shark tank in the pool area. Very Cool! Lot's of entertainment but, at the Plaza Thurs.-Sun. the band was like hearing my cat scream... They do have interesting street shows and shops on the outside walking Mall that cuts right though the downtown area. Check out the "Fremont Experience. " Mainly go to the Hotel Casino web sites for the best deals on rooms.

Best deal found: Privately guided wine tour through "Uncorking Argentina." The value for the money was phenomenal!!

Best deal found: Iceland was not cheap since they don't have a growing season and most of the food and supplies are imported. BUT the scenery was worth every cent! Also, in the summer the sun only sets for a couple of hours.
