Destination: Ålesund, Norway
Best deal found: There are no real deals in Norway especially for the American dollar, however I traveled in the off-season (spring snow season!). The best deal was that my distant relatives, who I met for the first time, blessed me with hosting me in their homes. The highlights of the trip were the people and standing in the spot where my great-great-grandmother boarded the ship for America.

Destination: Japan
Best deal found: JR Rail Pass. I estimated that I saved well over $800 by purchasing a JR Rail Pass. You must order one before entering the country to take advantage of the deal. Also, You can buy inexpensive yet wonderfully delicious bento box meals from almost anywhere and save the expense of some of the higher priced restaurants.

This week's poll
Many recent college grads don't know how to dress professionally for work. Have you ever thought someone in your workplace was dressed inappropriately?
Yes. I've seen co-workers in outfits that show way too much skin.
No. I work in a very relaxed environment and anything goes.
Maybe. Some clothing I've seen on the job is questionable.
