Clark's Christmas Kids Annually, November-December: Clark Howard and WSB join together with the Salvation Army and Georgia Department of Family and Children's Services to provide gifts for children in foster care across Georgia. Clark's Christmas Kids Campaign collects about half of all the gifts DFACs gives to children in foster care!
News/Talk 750 WSB "Care-A-Thon" Annually, August: WSB-AM's 37-hour marathon broadcast helps cure cancer in children by collecting funds for the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The annual Care-a-Thons have raised more than $4.5 million for the Aflac Cancer Center.
Georgia State Defense Force Ongoing: Clark is part of the all-volunteer, unarmed, unpaid branch of the Georgia Department of Defense. The State Defense Force allows veterans and those who have never served in the armed forces the opportunity for uniformed service, helping their fellow citizens by serving as the replacement for the National Guard if the Guard is called into federal service.
