John, I would highly doubt the 70% foreclosure/desertion rate. I work for HFH at a Pacific northwest affiliate and our foreclosure/desertion rate is 5-10% at most. Since HFH holds the mortgage on the homes, it has the advantage of being able to work with families to adjust monthly payments if necessary. HFH tries very hard to mentor families, both financially and otherwise, to stave off foreclosures or desertions.
Habitat for Humanity
It's my understanding the foreclosure/desertion rate of Habitat for Humanity homes is over 70%, is that true?
