The batteries in Apple's ultra-popular iPod may be at risk of exploding in flames and possibly causing bodily injury, according to Seattle's
KIRO 7 TV.PCWorld.com reports that there's a fight behind the scenes between Apple and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). At issue is whether customer complaints will go public and whether Apple will have to do a battery recall.
The CPSC reportedly has 800 pages of internal documents that show Apple knew about the alleged battery problems and have changed the design to try to prevent explosions.
Clark is not telling you to stop using your iPod. He simply wants to join the chorus of voices to get Apple to address the issue and do whatever recall is necessary.
