Jul 31, 2009 -- Twitter work-at-home scams are all the rage

RIP-OFF ALERT: As social networking gains in popularity, so too does the prevalence of scamsters pushing supposedly amazing work-at-home opportunities.

One company called Easy Tweet Profits claims you can make up to $873/day online. They even claim one person earned $400,000/year using their method of tweeting your way to success. The catch? By signing up for their program you agree to be charged just under $50/month!

There are a whole host of other companies with similar names (usually involving "make money" or "make profits") that suggest social networking can be a cash cow. But their game is all the same.

Whether you're talking about something you see on Craigslist, MySpace, eBay, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or whatever's the next hot thing, you've got to be wary.

What others are saying

  • work at home income
Most all of these scam artists want money up front, when or IF, you sign up
to one of these places. It's hard to know if they are ligitament or not,so how in the world do you tell??
  • Work at Home
Does anyone really know if the INCOMEATHOME.COM is ligitimate? My husband heard it on the radio also and wants me to look into it.
  • WORK AT HOME
You didn't mention a work at home business I've heard some conservative talk show host(another station not WSB);promote: INCOMEATHOME.COM.

Does this company fall in the same catagory as a scam?
  • No "Real" Victim
You know who falls prey to these schemes? People who don't want to work, regardless of the age-group. If the lazy want to "donate" their money to charlatans, let them.
  • Work in street scheme available!
I am involved in a new work in street program. I have set up a table for donations outside the salvation army "New Masters in environmental science grad-seeking food and water"
  • Apple 3G IPhone
The IPhone is a piece of crap. The glass face on the phone will not withstand every day use. Drop it slightly and atch the face splinter like a busted windshield. Apple knew it was too fragile but build it anyway. An egg shell is more durable. I warn you if you buy one you will regret it. I've had two and both faces cracked the moment it hit the ground form less than two feet.. Beware do not throw your money away.
  • No its not obvious to everyone cause some people either are pretty desperate or elderly that need some xtra money or too young to do research
  • Work at home scams
I don't think we need to be warned that these are scams, it's perfectly obvious!
