My wife and I have purchased our glasses from Zenni for the past 3+ yrs. Given the fact that we both wear progressive bifocals and always buy magnetic polarized sunglasses to boot we estimate we've saved close to $3000.00 over Pearl Vision and Lenscrafters since first hearing Clark talk about them. Last year, we had the very first problem which had to do with the fact that US Customs periodically holds up Zenni shipments at the port in CA. It took nearly 6 months before I finally got my order which came to a grand total of $108.00 for 2 complete pairs of Titanium framed with progressive lenses. I called and complained and kept getting full mailboxes for emails and voice-mails. However, finally things worked out and I got my order, happy as a clam again. Surprisingly, this afternoon I opened my mailbox and lo and behold found another order of 2 pairs of glasses. I actually didn't have the money to pay for this additional shipment so I called Zenni and after waiting on hold for 20 minutes or so I got to speak to a customer service representative. I explained the situation and offered to return the order I had just received and was told to please accept a sincere apology from Zenni for all the waiting and confusion surrounding my order and would I please wear these two pair of glasses in good health courtesy of Zenni Optical. I doesn't get much better than this. The glasses sometimes have minor flaws and there is no 100% money back warrantybut what can we expect when the savings are so immense. I will continue to order from Zenni and will continue to recommend this company to friends and family. ^Thanks to Clark for turning us onto this excellent bargain.

I've been reading negative reports about Zenni in Clark Howard and I'd like to tell you some good things about them. I've purchased four glasses over a two year period and have had no trouble at all with the product.

Several months ago I purchased a new pair of glasses; Yesterday, I stepped on them and broke the frame. When I called them up to order new frames, they said that they would not charge for them, even though the warranty period was up.

It doesn't get better than that.

I bought two pairs eyeglasses within two years. I enjoy the saving, and I have say they have great customer service because I returned one pair due to color problem.

I recently purchased a pair of eyeglasses from Zenni and cannot believe the deal I received. In the past the best I could do for cost was about $300.00 for the rimless frame and lens. With Zenni I paid apprx. $30.00 including clip on polarized sunglasses, hard case, cleaning cloth, anti-scratch, anti-glare! Even the thin lens in this price. From the time of purchase to in my mailbox was less than two weeks! Fantastic! Thanks Clark for the sugestion! After this email I'm ordering another back-up pair, at that price I can't go wrong.

Zenni Optical was not able to provide glasses to me with my correct prescription. They have yet to return any of my money much less a 50% refund. Likely due to the strong prescription. If you want to buy glasses from a local provider at a good price. Watch for the $99 sale at Sears Optical they run it several times a year. Free frames up to $120 value, plastic lenses for even no line progressive bifocals. Second pair is the same $99 fee and additional discounts. I got 2 pr. for less than $200. About what I paid at Zenni. PLUS with Sears, if I have a problem, a question there is a local live person to speak with.

Heard Clark talk about this group on the radio months ago, did he ever buy a pair from them?

Loved them! Ordered 3 pair for 3 different family members. We all loved them, and have gone back and ordered more!

Ordered progressive bifocals. Frame was good. Distance vision was OK. Could not see closeup. Called Customer NO SERVICE several times and was told to return it for 50% refund. Mailed by UPS 6/3. Has been calling and holding on for 25 to 40 minutes without an answer. I think this is a scam to get at least 50% of people's money.

I ordered $8 glasses for my son. They were here in a week and a half. They were exactly as ordered. And they were a total of 12.95 with shipping. My son has a lower Rx so did not have to buy any extras. I would highly recommend going for it with this online merchant. Just ensure that you do your research on what glasses look good on you. Check out the measurements, etc. Then you really can't go wrong. I figured if we hated the glasses than I was only out $12 vs. the $200. He wears contacts too so no need to go crazy expensive with the glasses. The best is that they look almost exactly like his father's full price pair.

Ordered no line bifocals. Plastic frames were comfortable. Distance vision is good but cant see close up. Called and told them vision correction is too low on the lens for me to see. Their solution was for me to wear the glasses further up on my nose. I would have to move them to my forehead to be able to see close up. Could get no satisfaction on the phone so I emailed them about my problem. Have never recvd a response. Talk about customer no-service!

Well I just placed my order! I don't believe anyone has gone "blind" here, use a little common sense. If your eyes are bothering you go to an optometrist. The markup on the frames has to be ridiculous, along with all of the extras that you get charged extra for, one thing I have got to say is that the internet has really changed alot of things including opening up the doors to how much you are being taken for a ride from your local insurance companies, phone companies, funeral homes, and even eye glasses, people rationalize because they pay more they are getting more or better and the reality is that is not always the truth, do your research and decide what you really are paying for quality or a name? What do you really need! Do you need a top of the line this or that or maybe just a more basic model.

just got and have used my zenni eye glasses. took 5 wks to get enough info to make the order. ordering was a breeze, got the progressive, no line, photochromatic and all feature were in the right spot and work great.

I went to a chain glass store and would have spent $463 dollars on a pair of glasses on eyebuydirect I spent $39.95 and that included transition lens. I will never buy another pair of glasses through a box store!

I've ordered several pair of glasses from Zenni and they have always been much better than the ones I've bought at the doctor's office and a hell of a lot cheaper. Just get the eye exam and prescription and order them online. Because of Zenni I canceled my eyeglass insurance at work as I come out much better.

I ordered my glasses from them and was pleasently surprized. I love them and what a great deal I got my eye doctor wanted $450 for progressive lens glasses that I got from zenni for $74.I did not have a bit of problem with then. I did get my measurements from my Doc so I would be sure I had it right and wow. What a great thing even if you don't worry about the cost like I do. I have turned many of my friends on to zenni and they have had the same great results. Thank you Clark and keep up the great work you do for us by keeping us informed. :)

Listen to your radio talk show which is the best, but, I ordered glasses from Zenni withe sun glasses and they were very pour quality. I did not send back and take it up as lesson learned. So I don't recommend to your other people that heard the comerical not to buy from.

Six months ago I bought my gradual Bi-focals from them and saved over $200. Took them to my eye doctor he said, "they were great". This week got a pair for my daughter she loves them

Based on our experience with Zenni, professional input and the feedback in "What others are saying", mail order glasses are obviously not for everyone. We purchased single vision glasses with plastic frames for my teenage son. It took a month to finally receive the glasses (Zenni claims it was a computer glitz that caused the delay). The quality and durability seem okay, but don't favorably compare with more expensive locally purchased glasses. For me: I wear progressive lenses and would not chance anything other than local professionally fitted glasses.

I lose confidence in Clark's oppinion when he stands behind this fraud company. They totally missed my prescription and said it was wrong, my brother is an optician. What a scam.

My opthamalogist provided me with the correct measurements including pupillary distance. I bought reading glasses, driving glasses, intermediate computer-distance glasses, progressive bifocals, and sunglasses from Zenni Optical for under $200 total. My othamalogist pronounced all of them "perfect."

Because of extreme nearsightedness I have NEVER been able to take advantage of the wonderful prices out there. After the "come on" exam and frame try ons, I am told I do not qualify--even for the 1 Hour service. There should be more explicit disclaimers on these offers.

Working in an eye doctor's office, I just wanted to share some information. The markup on glasses is not even close to 5000%, and I think most people would be surprised what we pay. We work with newer technology and coatings, you have to pay more, just like tv's or anything else. People don't realize that measurements taken incorrectly can effect your vision. Just like options that are available on your glasses. There are different materials that should be used for certain prescriptions and not others. When people are purchasing the eyeglasses from a doctor's office, you are not just paying for the glasses, but the service. If there are problems, adjustments, repairs, this is time a person is spending with you. If you are looking for an inexpensive product, this can be a great option. If you are looking for quality, care and experience, stick with your doctor.

just wanted to let you know that I bought some Zenni bifocals. My optician was very impressed with the lens quality and prices. I paid less for my complete glasses than he charges for anti-glare.

Normally my eyeglasses cost around $700.00 at the eye doctors. I have strong glasses and astigmatism, not to mention bifocals. This is my first time ordering from ZenniOptical. All cell phone conversation while driving is dangerous. My husband was driving my ML, coming home from work, siting at an intersection, and a woman in a Ford Excursion was on her cell phone, going too fast not paying attention to rush hour traffic, hit a BMW that was trying to get into traffic, which spun and flew into my husband's vehicle. Zinni does not allow for variation in the distance from center for the left & right Eye - nobody's nose is perfectly centered- I was not happy.

I wear extended ware contacts so just need glasses when i'm on a break -- the doc equivalent for progressive tinted is easily $400+ but te Zinni's are great -- fit perfect, and i could buy progressive sunglasses too and still come out at less than half -- the docs have milked a retail monopoly for too long -- they shold get by on the service fees just like other care providers, not depend on padding retail sale costs!

I wear contacts 95% of the time, but for times that I want to wear glasses (like at night to read) I need other options. I am IN LOVE with this sight. I bought a pair for $8 and wear them all the time. I also bought a pair of sunglasses for swimming/beach days so that I don't have to worry about losing a contact.

I just ordered a pair of glasses from Zenni. I have not received them yet. I compared the price I paid to the cost on Eyebuydirect and Zenni was still cheaper. I paid $62.75 at Zenni for titanium, progressive lenses with antireflective coating while a comparable pair at eyebuydirect would have been over $100.00. I'll post again after I get the glasses from Zenni with my satisfaction or lack thereof.

For those who have ordered their glasses online, do you have to get the optical measurement to the developer to make sure that it's aligned to the line of sight?

Purchased NO LINE BIFOCALS from Zenni and magnetic clip on sunglasses. I got all the bells and whistles on the glasses and 3 pair of clip on sunglasses for a total of $78.00. I love Zenni Optical!!! I would have paid $400.00 elsewhere.
