just tried quizzle...and it cant be right, a half year ago i inquired about refinancing and all 3 scores were over 800..since then i sold the investment property and lowered my debt significantly but quizzle showed the score 703..how could my score go down 100 points when i actually reduced my debt?

Creditkarma.com seems great and easy and quick and it is free. so far so good in a world of scam, spam and sham.

That site makes you give a credit card #, you get a "free 3 month trial" then it is $14.95 a month. Because many people do-not remember when they need to stop something it might not be a good program. Reminded me of freecreditreport.com

I just went to www.AnnualCreditReport.com to pull my credit reports separately. I should have been able to request all three but it told me I had retrieved my limit when attempting to retrieve the TU report.

This suggests to me that someone pulled my credit on TU without authorization and without my knowledge and consent as though they were me.

So I still have not retrieved my 3rd report and I would like to know if their is a way of determinig who or from where my report was accessed or downloaded.

Be careful when you go to the annual credit report site. It does give you your credit REPORT for free, but it does NOT give your your actual score. They try to hide it and make it look like you do have to pay to see the report, but if you read closely you can find the link to see the report fee free. As mentioned, I did not find a single credit site that would give me my actual score for free, FICO or bureau score.

I found a credit report web sight on your web site: freecreditreport.com (from Experian) and requested a free credit report and score. No where did I see in plain view any cost. I just received my credit card bill and found two charges: one for $24.95 and one for $14.95! I called the number on the account 877-481-6825 and after a lot of talking got the lady Liz (60163 employee # to agree to cancel the $14.95 charge, but to appeal to get the $24.95 charge cancelled I have to fax to 949-567-5758 a request and my reference # 102962155 and don't know if they will refund my money. I got this web site from you! and I am angry about it! Can you help me?????

Ater giving more info than I was comfortable with, and verifying who I am, they came back with a "problem with experian" and could not give me a credit score.

They asked for a $1.00 donations and they will take you through registration process. When I got done with the registration I recieved a FRAUD ALTER and I had to call number. By now they have all my infromation including my SSN. When I called the 800 number it directed me to panama. I was looking for a free report you were talking about last night 1/21/09 on KRLD and you have asked to go to your website. Can you please tell if these advertisement which appears on your website are turst worthy and could you be kind to let me know if that website is a SCAM.

after getting his identy stolen at college,my son went to triple advantage to monitor his credit.he tries to cancell,but keeps getting charged on his credit card.How can he get out of this?

Thank you for suggesting Quizzle.com for a free Experian credit score and report. The process was simple and I received a score of 840. How does this score of 840 compare to a FICO score?

Since I wanted to receive a credit report from a different agency every 4 months (1 per agency per year free from annualcreditreport.com), I can use Experian as the last one since since I received it at Quizzle already.

I've registered for both. There are differences but I like them both. useful and easy to view and review. Tried credit.com, but it seems to be a shill for equifax, as no matter what, they want your credit card number (free for 30 days!!!!) and equifax appears to own the site. BEWARE...

So far as I could tell, credit.com gives you a free credit score "estimate," not a free credit score. After you answer questions, they give you the estimate and then try to get you to purchase score monitoring.

I went to creditkarma.com and got my score---but, it was over 850 and I was told that 800 was the top score. So, how accurate could it be? Where do you get a FICO score? Isn't that what the bank uses? What do these other scores mean?

Well I did as you said and went to Annual Credit report and Free creidt report.com and finally got my report but they wanted a credit card number, like a DUMMY I gave it to them just thinking they needed a record for something and also couldn't continue unless I gave them a number. Anyway I was charged 12.95 and now I get emails saying nothing happened this month!!! Will this continue and will get charged every month?? Emailed them and requested remove my name but they have my number. Thanks Clark good advice :(

Froze my credit 4 months ago. Attempted to get my free credit report @ AnnualCreditReport.com. TransUnion sent it, but Equifax refused due to credit freeze. I suspect they want the fee to unfreeze or have instituted a penalty to those of us who are trying to prevent our indentity from being stolen.
Too soon to know about the third credit reporting company - Experian.

I think you already know, but just to make sure: If you have a credit card from Providian, now WAMU, you also have access to your credit score when you access your account online.

This site Clark posts for a free credit score is just a credit score estimator, unless I missed something visiting the site. I didn't notice a reference to scores from any of the big three credit reporting companies.

JUST TRIED QUZZLE AND CREDITKARMA BOTH WORKED VERY QUICKLY GOT IMMEDIATE RESULTS FROM BOTH.

Got my score (98) which correlates with others, but a bit higher. My home value was grossly overpriced. They use a computer model which does not take into consideration the idiosyncracies of the property - great for cookie-cutter development houses, not for those that are somewhat unique. There is no place to input details, therefore the rsult is purely bogus.

Of the mentioned websites and services only Quizzle came through with a credit report from Equifax. The others all wanted some kind of payment or "broke down" before delivering.

Quizzle was unable to verify my identity online. I called the 800-number where they asked me the same questions I had just entered online. The customer service rep got huffy at my asking why my information wasn't already available to her. Situation went downhill from there so I won't be "Quizzling" in the future.

Credit.com informed me I don't have enough credit history to generate a score. NOTE: I'm 59 yrs old, but have no debt except for a mortgage (plus one paid mortgage) and three 0-balance credit cards.

I got my "free" report from Trans Union but when I tried the other two agencies, they asked for a credit card number and I couldnt go any further.....I thought you gor all 3 free??????

I just got my credit score from CreditKarma.com and it was real easy. It looks like the score is provided by TransUnion, but I'm not sure. I didn't get my score from Quizzle because it looks like it provides a 2-digit "Quizzle Score", not a 3-digit Experian score.

I tried to use the Quizzle site this weekend based on Clark's comments, but couldn't get it to access my credit info - actually, I view this as "good", as I have frozen my credit info with all three reporting services. However, Clark should have mentioned this during his show ... kind of makes me wonder how Clark got his Quizzle generated info, if he indeed has a credit freeze in place for himself.

Yes, you can get your credit score free, but you must leave a credit card number and sign up for the service before you can get it and then remember to cancel it. No thanks.

Waleman, you can challenge the information that's listed if you are finding incorrect items. If the creditors say you're the one that's wrong, it can be hard to fix, but that's the first step. You should see information on the site you're viewing your credit report on to challenge the incorrect info.

It only works if you own a home.

I've been using CreditKarma for several months actually on the recommendation of a friend and it's proven to be a very upstanding company. Not a single junk email! I did have a bit of trouble signing up at first, but I was recently married, so it turned out I had to use my maiden name to sign up. I had also emailed customer support about it, and got a response pretty quickly with suggestions. It's just amazing how much different they are from freecreditreport.com (fell for that one ONCE and I still get spam!). Anyway, they give you special offers that your score qualifies you for, financial planning tools, tips, mortgage and loan rates, calculators --- I don't even use a lot of it, but it seems like it could be really helpful. I was just looking for a free service where I could check up on my credit and not be pestered! Got it!

So Clark mentions that the credit score you recieve from Quizzle is not the same as your offical FICO score... Is the Quizzle credit score a reliable score to estimate your own score then? How much different is it then your FICO score or is it the same as the FICO score, just not the OFFICIAL score?

I don't think it's just the credit scores that make Quizzle so valuable. Sure, it was the lure of "free credit report" that got me to try Quizzle, but once I got in, I added a bunch of other info and now I'm thinking about improving my overall financial picture, saving more, and watching my spending.
