ZenniOptical.com is still giving amazing deals on prescription eyeglasses to the public. $8 is all it costs for basic prescription glasses. Clark has ordered a pair and so have others on the staff and the customer service and the products have been fantastic. Clark finally got his in and he has not had any problems with them. So if you want some cheap prescription eyeglasses that don't feel cheap, check out Zenni!

    Ordered 2 pair from Zenni Optical. Had own local optometrist check out and were verified as excellent. One pair, progressive lenses cost less than $50 while the other, reading glasses alone were less than $20.
    The only drawback? Glasses made in Hong Kong, shipped to L.A. for distribution in US. Took over 3 weeks, but for the price, willing to wait.

    I just got my glasses from Zenni. My glasses look great. I could have gotten the same glasses at the doctor for $300 and I paid $34.00. I am so glad I went with Zenni. I got them in exactly 10 days and the perscription is on point. I am very impressed with the quality of my glasses. I will recommend Zenni to my family and friends.
  • Poor Customer Service
    I am very disappointed in this store. I guess the you get what you pay for really applies here. I order the glasses and they were supposed to have Photochromic lenses. Nothing happens in the sun. I called and they said put them in the freezer. I tried that a couple of times and nothing. Since then I have tried repeatedly to contact cusstomer service and get a no one a is availabe please leave a message, which I have done 3 times with no reply! Or I get a representative afetr waiting a few minutes and they tell the the server is down. Not worth the trouble!

    Decided to try Zenni out, the glasses were equivilant to the ones I'd been purchasing for years from the eye doctor's office. I was able to get 2 pair for under $40.00 including shipping. I've received a number of compliments on the styling. The glasses are fantastic!
  • Love the glasses, love the cost
    I've always purchased eyeglasses from the doctor's office until recently when I just didn't have the money, I had heard about Zenni Optical on the Clark Howard show and gave it a try. Got 2 pair of glasses including shipping for under $40.00. I've been wearing glasses for 20 plus years. The quality was just as good as those that I had bought in the past.

    1st off, I was very happy with Zenni Optical after the first 4 pairs of progressive, AR coating titanium and other frame glasses. I will continue to recommend them and use them.

    I decided to try the photochromic progressives this time and am pretty disappointed. If you are looking for a sunglass replacement or hope this will work instead of clip-on’s, don’t bother.
    The lenses to not darken enough to do any good at all, even on overcast days. I wish they had before and after pics on the site. I thought there version would work like the “transitions” lenses shown on TV- not even close. I got town different pair, one for every day and a larger/stronger set to use when I am working projects (car, home repair etc) neither pair darkens enough to do anything useful. If I hold a white background behind them, I notice they are darker.

    My daughter just went for her annual eye exam. The doctor checked her vision with the Zenni glasses even complimented her on the nice frames-LOL. The $17 Zenni glasses were fine. He told me that prescription has changed slightly. So, the girl in the lobby tried to get me purchase new glasses there. I kindly asked for my script and skipped out of the door!

    My wife and I ordered 5 pairs of glasses for a grand total of $85. They arrived in 2-1/2 weeks, even with a pair of bifocals in the order which are advertised to take longer. Couldn't be happier with the product and the service. Was able to track online the USPS shipment from California to Dayton. I ordered a pair of prescription "computer glasses", figuring for $8 what the heck if Zenni's instructions on how to adjust the prescription didn't work. They work great! Before ordering I called to ask a question and had a human on the line in less than a minute. For these prices, even if the customer service doesn't always measure up, it's still well worth it.

    My glasses fell out of frame when I open Package.After calling no customer service 10 days ago i still have not received replacement screws or the installation tool as promised by no customer service. I have called and was told that they were sent on 9/3 from China.On 9/11 I received an email that something was mailed.What is the matter with Zenni Quality that then they ship out glasses they are not inspected and
    if a problem happens they do not expedite the replacement.

    I have been wearing my 50.00 glasses for over 3 months now. Not a single problem. I figure Im about 150.00 to the good from what I would have paid where I had them examined. Ill do this for ever.

    It's been widely reported that Zenni had major fulfillment problems near the beginning of 2009, but it all seems fine now. I ordered a "basic" $8.00 pair just to see what they're like (I really had a hard time believing it). But it's true! At the $8 level, the frames are similar to what you'd get at Pearle or a similar discount optician, the lenses are thinner however and very, very nice (no imperfections!). I got mine in exactly one week and they also emailed me a tracking number when they shipped. Great all the way around, I couldn't be happier... and I'll be back for a nicer set of frames after I see my eye doctor later this year.

    I ordered progressive, photocromatic lenses and it only took a little over 2 weeks to get them. I see perfect. My Dr. quoted me $350 just for clear lenses and I got frames and lenses from Zenni for 94.00. I will buy from Zenni from now on and recommend them to all my friends.
  • High index "transitions" not available
    I think Zenni is great to get affordable frames and lenses, but for what I wanted Zenni doesn't provide at this time. Per their website, "The higher index lens we use cannot be tinted, nor do we provide a higher index photochromic lens at this time."
    I will have to go to Costco for this pair but i may end up buying a cheaper pair from Zenni w/ the regular 1.57 lens just to try this out.

    I order a pair of glasses from Zenni on 28 July. I got them on 5 Aug. A total of 8 days to deliver is very impressive given the price I paid. I am very satisfied with the product so far. The lenses are correct in prescription (checked with an optometrist). One thing that annoys me a bit is the nose pads. They were, and still are uneven. I don't really feel too comfortable wearing the frame. Wish me luck in adjusting them. However, I do recommend future purchases.

    Have ordered 6 pairs of glasses so far... only because I have a tendency to lose, or sit on my glasses, so I'm death on frames. I've bought three times, 2 pair each order, and it never took more than 3 weeks to receive them. For someone who's hard on glasses, Zenni is a great find! Thanks, Clark!

    I have now ordered 4 pairs from Zenni Optical. My first two pairs were progressive with built in magnetic polarized sunshades. The quality of the frame is excellent, and the prescription is right on target. I also am pleased with the ability to buy extra magnetic sunshades, as I am tough on them. When I got my new prescription, I ordered another identical pair. The cost of the progressive bifocals, frame, and five sunshades was $74. Try to find that anywhere else. I have worn glasses since I was 6, I am 48, and I know glasses by now. I also needed some computer progressive bifocals. I went to my optometrist and asked for a prescription for computer bifocals, and he gave me the same one as for my normal progressive bifocals. When I questioned him why, he told me that I needed to buy "Interview" - a brand of lenses from his optical store. A pair of normal progressive bifocals and computer progressive bifocals would have cost over $1000 at his store. Thankfully, Zenni has information on their website on how to calculate the numbers for computer progressive lenses from your normal prescription. I did that and even got help from people at Zenni to verify that I did it correctly. So I ordered my normal glasses with 5 extra magnetic clip on sunshades and a pair of computer progressive glasses for a total of $132 including shipping. I felt that my optometrist tried to take me for so much extra money that I am in doubt that I will go to him again, and I have seen him for almost 10 years! He did admit that the Zenni glasses were made correctly, but told me that places like Zenni and Costco were putting many local optical shops out of business. I understand his reasoning, but my wife is out of work and we have no medical benefits. Money is tight, and we have to look for bargains and shop at places like dollar stores. I supported him when times were good, but he doesn't seem to understand people that are in need right now. I really appreciate Zenni. I have used them now for over two years, and have never been disappointed. But know up front that you will have to take measurements of eyeglasses that you now like to make sure you get a set of frames the right size. Millimeter rulers can be found online and printed to help. And you will also have to fit them yourself, or go to Walmart or Costco and get some help. And they will help you. But for people with not much money, and families with children who need glasses, Zenni cannot be beat.

    I just received two pairs of glasses from Zenni Optical and I am in love! It took 16 days...the extra few days are worth it, considering two pairs of identical glasses would've cost $300 at Walmart! More people should know about this site...for those like me with no eye insurance, paying for an exam and glasses costs a ton...and Zenni is a great option.     My progressive lenses with titanium frames arrived 10 days after I ordered them, and they greatly exceeded my expectations for a cheap pair of glasses. The frames are light, but strong and the glasses appear to be optically perfect. The overall quality is equal to my last pair of comparable glasses that I paid $425 for 5 years ago. I've read many comments and most of the negative ones are based on long delivery times and are made by customers who haven't received their glasses yet. I'm telling my friends about Zenni and I'll order from them again.

    My order for photochromic progressives with AR coating arrived yesterday, 25 days after ordering. I can see things I haven't been able to see in years. I'm so pleased, that I placed another order this morning. Thanks Howard for the great money saving, and sight saving tip - if it hadn't been for Zenni, I would never have bothered to have my eyes checked - I mean, why bother with a checkup, if you can't afford glasses, right?

    I have a son who is legally blind. His glasses are very expensive and so I looked into Zenni as an alternative.

    I placed the order for his lens - -19.0 in his 'good' eye - and within an hour they had contacted me to discuss the different options. It turns out that they were unable to make his glasses because his prescription was so lopsided - -19 in one eye, -3 in the other. So I didn't end up ordering from them for those glasses BUT it was very good of them to discuss it promptly with me instead of just charging me and then doing a half-assed job.

    I've just recently ordered two pairs of glasses from them, one for myself and one for my husband. If they are as quick to make them as they were to answer my earlier inquiries, I will be very happy.

    With Zenni around, anyone who buys glasses through their optician is a damn fool. I was one of them: my doctor charged me $300 for progressives (just the lenses, mind you, and that's after my insurance paid $300 -- so that's $600 lenses). On a lark, I bought a pair of frames and progressive lenses through Zenni for $60. Got 'em in a couple of weeks (they're made in Hong Kong, so you have to be a little patient). I see better with the Zenni cheapos than I do the $600 pair. So I bought a pair of prescription sunglasses. In fact, at those prices, I would order a different pair every month of the year and still come out cheaper than what my optician charged me. So ignore the naysayers. Even if you were taking a risk, IT'S ONLY 60 BUCKS. Costs practically that much to fill up your gas tank.

    I have ordered four pairs of glasses from Zenni over a period of two years. The service has been impeccable and the glasses are of the highest quality that I have ever had. I had a service problem when my glasses were four months old and the frames broke but they had replacement frames on my doorstep within 10 days with a install kit to help me transfer the lenses. They only charged me $12 for memory titanium frames. What a deal and what great service. their customer service is outstanding and everything was done as promised.This company is outstanding in every way.     Clark - first want to thank you for the heads up on Zenni. I ordered two pairs from Zenni as backup glasses - one with progressive lenses and the other single vision for watching TV. I was skeptical because of the ultra low price, but I rolled the dice since they would only be backups and both pair exceeded my expectations by miles. Despite the delivery, vision, and fit issues I read about on various forums, my vision is perfect with both, the frames fit perfect and look great, and they arrived just 13 days after I ordered them. They're now my primary glasses, and my old pairs are the backups. I contacted customer service via the 1-800 number with a question about my single visions, and the representative was very courteous and helpful and very thorough in explaining the answer to my question. And the price! The two pairs of Zenni glasses cost me $80 total including shipping, upgraded frames, the progressive lens upgrade, and anti-reflective coating (the progressive frames I picked even include polarized magnetic clip on sunglasses). To compare - my last three pairs of progressive lens glasses cost $280 - $300 each at Lenscrafters and Eyemasters AFTER applying my vision insurance coverage!! I reviewed my old receipts, and Lenscrafters' and Eyemasters' "full charge" without my insurance benefit applied ranged from $525 to $600 per pair!!! What a RIPOFF! As others have said, the key is carefully measuring your old glasses and using those measurements to determine what frames best suit you, and getting an accurate pupillary distance. Since Lenscrafters would only reluctantly give me my pupillary distance, I went to WalMart optical and they gladly checked it for free (and it was the same). I will absolutely, positively, and confidently use Zenni from now on.

    I just got my glasses from Zenni. The holes for the nosebridge hardware are off alignment by 2mm. This makes the bridge look crooked when worn. Zenni wants me 2 get it adjusted at a local optician, lol. You can;t adjust bad hole locations. They say ot will take a longtime for repairs.... Watch OUT!

    I ordered "memory titanium" frames with progressive bifocals and photochromic (color changing) lenses. I'm thrilled!

    I did my homework and read EVERYTHING regarding ordering. Most importantly, I measured the last several sets of glasses and ordered the best measurements for width and length of frame. Oh, and find out what your PD (pupilary distance) measurement is from your eye doctor. It's necessary for ordering.

    I use to work for an optometrist. Most of the frames we get in our store are 95% made in China. The ones that are about $300 are Italian made. I have seen some of the frames on Zenni as we have in our store and Zenni's prices are about 75% less. I'm going to give them a try and take my chance.
  • Big learning about ordering from Zenni
    I have ordered 3 pairs of glasses from Zenni over time, and have been happy with the results. I have learned 2 very important things:
    1. Read EVERYTHING under the "General Information" tab on their website. This is where you will find critical inflormation on finding the right frame and lens size.

    2. Do not use Zenni for the kids of glasses that are rimless and use lenses that have holes drilled directly through the plastic. Zenni uses a lower quality plastic and are prone to loose asembly and crack easily under the pressure of normal adjustment. Stick to the other style of frames that don't drill into the lens and you will be fine.
  • wrong index lens!!!!!
    i ordered 1.67 high index lens mainly because my right eye prescription is very strong (-9.00/-3.50/14), i had surgery on that eye, my left is -4.50, when i got the glasses my right eye lens is 2 1/4 times thicker than the left, but when i compare the left with my old pair of glasses which is the same-4.50 and that one is a 1.57 index, they are the exact same thickness, therefore i concluded that zenni opticle didnot use the high index 1.67 like i ordered (paid $37), instead they use 1.57. so i took them to my eye doctor and he said the same thing that they used a low index, the 1.57.But he did stated that they had the correct prescription right. so im contacting zenni optical to change my lens, im thinking about leaving the left like it is and let them only change the right to te correct 1.67 index

  • Great Glasses at Zenni Optical
    I ordered a pair of progression glasses in a cheaper metal frame and a pair of single strength reading glasses. I received in less than three weeks last month. Between having a good eye exam and excellent made glasses, I can see better than I have in a long time. I was careful to measure the width of my old glasses to insure that the new ones would fit my face. I paid under $50 for the same pair of progressives that I usually pay $200 for and have never seen this well. My point of focus causes me to sit my progressives down on my nose slightly but the inconvenience is worth it for the price. On single vision, noticed that you have to read directly out of the lens and not at an angle but the vision is perfect then.

    I decided to take a chance with Zenni. I ordered a pair for myself and my daughter. I placed my order June 15th and glasses arrived today, July 3rd, less than the two weeks. My daughters are just a basic rx, but my were the progressive bifocal. Both are just right. I will order there again.
  • Zenni quality has gone south
    I ordered a pair of Rx readers from Zenni a couple of years ago and they were fine. The ones I ordered a couple of weeks ago arrived today in three pieces. The lenses were each chipped and out of the frames. I could get 50% of my $8 back, but they don't reimburse postage so it's a wash.

    I ordered 3 pairs of glasses, including one pair that was supposed to take longer because it was an X rx (really blind!) at the beginning of June, and received them all on June 27. Both my husband and I wanted progressive bifocals along with our regular RX and I wanted RX sunglasses-no bifocal. At our dr, just replacing the lenses and keeping our old frames would have been to the tune of $700. I was willing to wait the long time I read in previous comments! I do need to pay closer attention to the witdth of my face, because my sunglasses are a hair too small--but for $21 I'll live (that includes the extra $9 for the X rx) but I think that is just due to the style I picked--the other frames are fine. They are around the same quality as my $400 frames I got at the eye doctor 5 years ago (thanks, zenni! I needed a style change!)

    I took a chance and ordered my new glasses from Zenni and they arrived exactly three weeks later. I'm THRILLED. Pure titanium rimless frames with bifocal lenses and anti-glare with a polaroid clip-on for $56... and they're gorgeous! I went to Wal-Mart with my perfectly good frames to order lenses for computer glasses, and they wanted to charge me an extra $20 to use my own frames... plus they wanted $39 for their no-glare coating. NO THANKS, WAL-MART! Going back to Zenni!

    I just found out Clark has a website, so here's my story about Zenni....

    I ordered in January, 2009 and got an email the middle of February, stating they had a problem because of the Chinese New Year! Here is the body of the email:

    Dear Customer, Your eyeglasses has been shipped out two days ago in the mail. Please check your mailbox for the package in a few days. Due to the long Chinese Lunar Year holiday, the process of your order took longer than the regular time. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.     I have ordered twice previously and didn't have a problem. Maybe we shouldn't order in January!!!

    I am a loyal listener and subscriber to clark howard and I need someone's advice on a subscription that i subscribed to on-line called Easy Credit Daily and they keep sending me unlimited amounts of credit card offers that are just unbelievable great deals and they won't let me talk to a live agent to get more details about these offers and i need to know if these are good deals and i could not find the proper place to post this question.   • Zenni - pros and cons
    The selection is good, the information on the site is educational, and the site is *reasonably* easy to navigate (could be a lot better). The order process is normal, no problems. However, the 2 week wait (from my experience[s]) is a TOTAL lie. It took 35 days for my first order to arrive. My second order has not been shipped "from the lab" after 20 days, so it is on about the same track as my first order. Do not bother e-mailing customer service; the response will be minimal at best. Calling gives you somewhat more information, though you have to be "assertive". If you get the representative "Anne" (you'll have to ask for their names, they don't tell you) ask to speak to someone else; speaking to Anne ranks among one of the most unpleasant experiences I've had with customer service. The shipping--once the order finally shipped was fairly fast. The glasses ship wrapped in microfiber clothes inside cheap plastic cases shipped inside an envelope. My order arrived without damage, but I imagine sometimes those cases break. The quality of the product (no wear and tear yet) looks reasonable. No egregious problems with the prescription from my brief wear. The glasses feel a little fragile--they are slim and very light. The arms of one pair are so thin they actually wiggle when picked up. The nose pads feel "crunchy". However, each pair was very comfortable (only worn briefly however). I will probably order again, because you can't beat the price--and now I have evidence the glasses will actually arrive (slooowwwwly). Be forewarned and the experience may not be as incredibly frustrating for you as it was for me. I have a problem with being told "2 weeks" and waiting 5 weeks without a single explanation as to WHY. When customer service acts like you are being a jerk for wanting to know what's going on, that makes it a lot worse. If I'd been told at the outset it would be a month, I would not have been upset. It's the breach of promise and bad customer service that caused the frustration.

    HOWEVER, I had a good experience with eyeglassdirect.com. Costs about $60 compared to Zenni's $12. But I added overnight shipping and received my glasses on the Saturday morning 4 days after my order. E-mail customer service sucked there too, though!

    I ordered 2 pair of glasses from Jc Penny's, they cost me around 100.oo per pair, one pair were right the other from another lab made me sick when I tried to wear them, they were the wrong RX, still haven't recieved my $$ back from them or the glasses fixed. now with Zenni, I have bought 4 times in the last 3 months. Now I am up to 4 pairss for myself since they are so cheap but well made. I can have a different look anytime I please because of their prices. My parents and son were told over 300.oo for thier glasses and we picked up the samething with Zenni for under 100.oo per pair.

    yes, it does take a bit longer with the bi focals and trans, but it says that plain as day in their websight.

    just sign me a happy customer buying yet another pair for myself tonight

    I just ordered a pair of zenni glasses it sounds to good to be true.My RX in very strong and i'm worried no one has contacted me makeing sure my order is right You would think someone would make sure everything is o.k. before they take your money and that's as soon as you enter you cc# they waste no time takeing your money right away with a quick receipt I'm beggining to thank I'm gonna get what i payed for..I hope it is a good exsperience I hate being ripped off
  • Very happy with Zenni
    I have ordered four pairs of eyeglasses from Zenni for family members and for myself over the past couple of years. Each time I was very pleased with the product and the service. I've been wearing this last pair of glasses for over a year and a half. I got a flexible titanium frame, partially rimless, with scratch protection. The glasses are still in excellent shape. They have not scratched, even though I wear them while doing a lot of dusty, dirty, sawdusty projects around the house. I have no complaints whatsoever, and I recommend Zenni wholeheartedly.

    Well, I can just say ditto to Never Received as that is exactly my story except the remaking part. I was told they were shipped out on the 14th, and would get an email with tracking... never happened. Yesterday (third or forth call)we heard that our order was held up at customs. My husband pointed out that we've heard multiple stories and they charged our credit card on the SAME DAY the order was placed (5/3) but yet we haven't received anything except poor service and excuses. That's when they asked for another day to track them down (through customs). Well, since again hearing nothing I called today. It's a mircle...my glasss arrived today at their location and would be shipped hopefully today! I should have them by Saturay or so. I asked for a tracking slip, "oh we don't have that". I asked if I'd get an email (that infamous promise!) "Maybe". I asked if he was assurring me it would go out today since nothing they've said has happened yet. His response was "well hopefully if shipping gets to it".

    I wish I had found this site before I ordered glasses on April 9th. I had no problem getting through to CS but they were rude and I've heard 3 different stories. 1. We are too busy to keep to the 2-3 week delivery on website. 2. They are held up in customs, "That is Homeland Security at work." 3. We remade them and they have shipped but we can't see where they are until they arrive. I've filed a complaint with the BBB. Zenni has a "D" rating!!! And a charge back on my credit card.

    I ordered a pair of sunglasses and am very pleased. The customer service was great and I got my glasses 3 weeks to the day I ordered them. I plan to order another pair for backup.

    My high priced glasses that I bought were also made in China. The frame says (frame made in China). They took several weeks to get to the optical store and when I lost the clip on sunglasses that was almost $100. So you cannot be sure your frames will not be made in China even if you go to a top dollar optical place.

    I've ordered from Zenni 3 times in the last 2 years, the most recent order on Apr. 21 '09. While waiting for my order to arrive (it was about 4 weeks instead of the promised 2 weeks)I was a little worried after reading all the complaints and seeing their horrible BBB rating.

    But they arrived after the 4 weeks, just as ordered and in good condition. The glasses aren't the greatest quality, but for the amazing price, I think they're great.

    I'm a little uncomfortable with the "made in China" part (which explains the amazing price); it looks to me like it's another U.S. industry about to be taken overseas (following the trail of so many others) which is sooooo bad for our ailing economy. So overall I would say for my social conscience, Zenni is terrible. But for a great deal on glasses, it is excellent, if you can be patient.

    I've tried to track my order, but do not have a proper tracking no., I only have the order I.D. they sent when they e-mailed me that my order had been "processed". I've tried to call the company but their e-mail is full, and I was told there were 10!! callers on line ahead of me. Then I read the comments, and now I'm worried. I have two friends who used Zinna and both have had great luck, beautiful glasses and good vision, I'm hoping their luck will rub off on me. $20.00 glasses? I don't recall seeing anything like that, but I need bi-focals, so probably can't get them cheaper. I had glasses made in Mexico and used my old frames, that cost me as much as the entire frames/glasses with Zinna, and the glass has dust or something sprinkled across it - not good. I'm hoping for better, and soon, from Zinna.

    I don't know what all the complaints are about. I ordered two pairs of glasses, each bifocal, each with different frame styles and different prescriptions. I placed my order on 4/23/09, received notice that they had been shipped on 5/8/09 and received them on 5/11/09. The prescriptions are correct and the frames fit well.

    This is my second time ordering from Zenni; I ordered two pairs about 18 months ago. I have absolutely no complaints about either order. I will definitely use Zenni Optical again!

    I ordered sunglasses and they arrived in three weeks. I ordered a second pair and they arrived broken. I sent them back (Later I was told that I shouldn't have done that, but THEIR REP told me to do it) and its been six weeks and they still haven't sent me new ones. Very sporadic service. The reps are more often rude than not. Best advice -Use your charge care and dispute the charge if you glasses don't arrive.

    I ordered April 6th, I received my three pair of glasses on May 5th.
    They corresponded with me to clarify something on my order and adjusted credited me the difference on my card.
    I like the glasses so far. I was afraid they would look very cheap, was expecting to keep them as back up glasses. I was pleasantly surprised by how they fit and feel.
    as one of previous comments said, it must be a crap shoot as to how they deliver. I would buy from them again, at least until I get burned.

    As soon as your two week estimate is up, and you don't have your glasses, dispute the charge on your credit card. I waited way too long. I disputed charge this week, 8 weeks after order, and low and behold, they just sent me TWO tracking numbers. Neither has been picked up by USPS yet, so we'll see. But disputing credit card charge definitely got them to act. Good luck.

    Pathetic! I ordered glasses with Photochromic (Transition) and Progressive. Yes, it was a year ago but I was not familiar with Transition type glasses and thought the ones I got were right...but they seemed dark all the time. I had my annual exam last week and was told that the glasses are not transition type..they are only tinted. I PAID Zenni Optical for Photocromic. I called Zenni, they verified I did purchase Photocromic, and they also told me are the same as Transition. I was told that there is a 30 day adjustment policy so I am too late. I can understand that, BUT I can NOT understand they having charged me for something and not giving it to me. They need to deliver what is ordered and paid for, not less. I referred 8 others and they bought from Zenni Optical, and I know they will not buy again after I tell them about this. And, Clark Howard needs, and will, know about this rip-off.

    I ordered my glasses on 3/28 and they have told me numerous times that i should receive them within a few days each time i call. So i received an email with tracking number on 4/20 stating they have been shipped to me. I called on 4/28 to find out where they were. They said they didn't know. All orders shipped on 4/20 were lost. So I waited. Received another email on 5/4 stating they were shipped again to me with a differant tracking number. So i call and the lady said that the order on 4/20 was held up in customs. To confirm I asked in customs between California and Georgia. She said yes. Ok are you dumb? I asked her again and again she said yes. So apparently there is now a customs within the United States between California and Georgia. So whenever there is a problem they tell everyone they were held up in customs. They should change their web site to say "Orders shipped may take around 2 months".

    I ordered glasses on 3/24, and was told I would receive them in two weeks. Still have not received them and it is May. Have called numerous times and been told the usual held in customs, getting a customs lawyer, yada yada yada. It is almost 60 days when you cannot dispute the charge on your credit card. Dispute your charge right away, they tend to take those customers more seriously, and if you ever end up getting the glasses, you can always cancel the dispute. They will just keep telling you wait another week for months. Very disappointed.

I also heard of Zenni on Clark Howard and have told many people about them. Don't think we could have done much better. My suggestion is "don't have false expectations, you won't be disappointed."

    I ordered 2 pair of glasses on March 28th and still have yet to receive the. I saw below that there was a nother case of customs having our orders. However no one told me about having more made and rushed to me. The lady i spoke to stated that they are investigating this issue because all orders shipped on 4/20 the tracking info will not pull up so they don't know where the glasses are. I am VERY VERY frustrated. I also asked the lady if it normally takes this long and she assured that no it doesn't. guess she has never read this site. LOL

    It's a absolute crap shoot with Zenni Optical. There is no verification what-so-ever if your Rx prescription lenses are as you ordered, Zenni will not verify ever, the sole female CS rep who states she is a 'manager' has record level complaints against her through the BBB, and their return policy for their own mistakes is unacceptable at the consumers expense. Testing is ongoing now for lead and other toxic poisons in their frame coatings, content, and lenses. On a scale of 1 to 10, this company and ownership barely rates a .3 .

    I was skeptical to try Zenni Optical after reading some of the comments. But the price was too good to pass up. It did take about 4-5 weeks to receive my glasses but the quality is perfect. I had held back on ordering glasses elsewhere because of the price. Now I could order several pair for what I would have to pay for just 1 at any optical store! I will definitely order again!!

    My husband heard about Zenni Optical from Clark Howard's show a couple of years ago. So we decided to try them out. They are PERFECT! However, you need to be patient and expect up to 6-8 weeks for delivery, unless you opt to pay for rush delivery. In that case, you'll get them in a week or two. We also learned to order 2 at a time. That way, if one breaks, he'll have the other pair to wear while he reorders.

    Zenni was recommended by a friend who's had great luck with them, however, I ordered glasses March 30th and haven't received them but they have their money. The really sad thing is their customer service is terrible, called their 1-800#, all reps are always busy, then prompted to leave a message but mail box is full. I then sent an email, no response. Hope I receive the glasses I paid for someday.

    I ordered three pr. of glasses back in march and awaited their arrival only to find that they had been held in customs (which I believe could happen). I tried to contact the company over the phone to find out the status of my order and several times recieved the "mailbox is full" response. HOWEVER, last week I called back and was able to speak with a manager who assured me that my glasses were being remade and were placed on a rush order. I recieved the glasses today and am very pleased. They are as nice as i had hoped. I was told that when the customs order is released I will recieve those glasses as well. I don't know what I will do with 6 pr. of glasses tho..... LOL!

    As you can see from the comments, ordering from Zenni is a "crap shoot". You may or may not receive then in a timely fashion. I have waited almost two months for mine with my latest order. The first time I ordered they came fairly quickly. Since they come from China you have the risk of it being held my customs, in which case there is no telling when you will ever receive them. If you absolutely need a pair of glasses quickly, it is probably best to pay more and order somewhere else.

    Over 1 month and my credit card being charged for the glasses I had not received, I called my credit card company and they suggested I dispute my charges for the glasses until I receive them. My credit card company called Zenni and they gave them the same run a round they gave me - an email will be sent when they receive them and they are sent out. I was told 2 times that they had emailed me but I never received it (and it wasn't in my spam mail either). After my credit card company spoke with them and let them know I was disputing the charges, early the next morning I had an email with a tracking number. The glasses finally arrived - it took almost 5 weeks. I would not order again from these people. Don't trust them.

    Ordered prescription sunglasses, they took over a month to arrive, I wore them about 12 times, then the half rim filament broke and the lenses fell out. Called and left three messages with them to call me back, finally got through to a representative a week after the warranty expired. They offered to send me a new frame, as if I have an optical workshop in my garage and tinker with this kind of thing in my spare time. I was refused repairs and a refund.
    Never, EVER again would I order from these scam artists, and neither should you. I only ordered because Clark recommended them - he needs to get rid of his endorsement of them on this site.

  • Decision to be made April 13th???
    Supposedly they are going to make a decision as to whether to have the glasses remade on Monday, April 13th. This is what they say, which may be different than what they actually do. The Better Business Bureau gives them a grade of a D. Not very encouraging.

    I ordered as a lot of you in the beginning of March. I also have heard, customs is holding them up, they have been released by customs, we have to remake because yours are not released, homeland security is creating this problem, etc, etc. I liked the idea, but now I think I am a fool to listen to all these excuses and still no glasses. Zenni needs to communicate better if it wants to keep their customers. I have never been emailed on my order, I have always had to call.

    on 3/6. I was told they were in the shipment held at customs. They now say half the shipment was released, but they don't know whether or not my glasses were among those that were released.

    Talk to "customer service". According to the rep, "management" is "still deciding" whether to have the glasses remade. I ordered them on 3/5. I was told on 3/17 that they were held by customs, but on 4/2 was told it was released by customs and I should expect my glasses the following week. Today I am told they are still being held my customs. Just does not sound right. :-(

    Been over 1 month. No glasses. Got the "delayed in customs" response. I do expect to eventually get them, but if you use them don't expect to get them anytime soon after you order them. I think they just give the "delayed at customs" as an excuse for not being able to keep up with their orders.

    I have emailed and called everyday. The few times someone is around to answer the phone I get the standard reply that we will cehck on it and respond in 24hours. This company is the biggest joke out there. I think they must have given Clark his $8.00 glasses free to get him to puff it up on hte show. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Check the internet there are plenyty of similar stories. They are worse then Dell Computer!

    We have ordered over 10 pair of glasses from Zenni and had no problems or long delay in shipment. We have one pair of glasses that needed to bereturned incorrect shipment replaced in less that 2 weeks. That 10 pair for the cost of one typical American Optical pair. The people have been great even pointed our vial e-mail a mistake we made on one order and quickly helped us correct it.

    I ordered my glasses on 3/14 and they just arrived today 3/24. I paid less than $20 and was very skeptical about ordering prescription glasses online - but for such a small price, I took a chance. They are great! Finally, I don't feel ripped off when buying glasses. $20!!!!!!

    It has been 10 days and my order is still in production. The agent (Jason) said that the policy listed on the web site about production is no longer true because they are very busy. I wished that I knew that. I will make sure that they don't get my and my friends business in the future. I told the agent that if next week I don't receive my order, he goes 'do you want me to cancel your order now and you will get 50% of your refund'. I can't believe that the agent actually wanted to cancel my order. Very unprofessional and rude staff. I am stuck with it. Does Clark Howard have any options for me? :)

    Hi, I ordered a pair of glasses and recd. them today. First they have sent it in a very flimsy envelop. The entire shippment is crumbled and their plastic cover is completely broken. The eye glass fram is all bent and crumbled. That is not all! Contacted their customer service (Robin, Rob) and they are very rude, totally unhelpful. The suggestion that they provided was that they will send me the frames and I will pop the glasses out and put it in (!). All I wanted was a replacement glasses and I am no eyeglass technician. They don't have any customer service concepts left in them. I am totally offended by their rude comments during the conversation as well. Overall it is a very bad experiece. I would like to post the pictures of the broken pieces as I received, but I don't think there is a option here. Buyer be aware!

I orderd two pair and about 2.5 weeks later my glasses showed up in perfect condition with a better clarity than the big chains I ordered from in the past. I'm sorry to hear all the bad stories here but I can assure you that this was a fantastic transaction.

    Got some gold rimless glasses with anti-reflective coating for a bit over 20 bucks. That is quite an amazing deal, especially considering how awesome they look (even better than in the photo) and how I can see perfect out of them just as well as my 180 dollar glasses from a store(for reference, I am nearsighted). They only took 3 weeks to get here which is not too long at all considering my normal glasses from a store took 2 weeks to show up for pickup. They are so lightweight and flexible, so bright and airy on my face. Just what I needed at an amazing price. They also came with a hard case and cleaning cloth, and the cleaning cloth is really nice and soft (and huge compared to the cloth I got with my store bought glasses--very nice surprise). We got emailed a tracking number when they were being shipped and they arrived about 2 days after the email (we are in Southern California). I have been giving links to Zenni to my friends because let's face it, this is quite a gem of the internet, to be able to get such good glasses the cheapest you will find anywhere by far. I am very VERY happy and will order some prescription tinted glasses to use as sunglasses soon, it is definitely more than affordable enough to be able to get some! It is an amazing service Zenni is doing to be able to provide this, I must say!

    It took 1 month and 2 days to receive my first pair. But I am soooo pleased with them. Last eyeglasses I got from the mall store, I paid about $300, still not so good quality. With Zenni prices, I can get many pairs to match my outfit of the day. And this is the first time I could afford for prescription sunglasses. I would not complain to wait for more than 1 month. I even recieved an email that they had been shipped and tracking info. I am very pleased with my glasses and am already trying to pick out my next pair!!!
    (my only advice would be to measure the frames you are currently wearing and compare them to the ones you want to order-mine are a little wider than I would like)

    I placed my Zenni order (progressive lenses with an 80% tint, $59) on February 2 and received them on Feb 27th and I love them. They are exactly what I ordered, they fit well and the prescription seems to be spot on.
    I entered a number in inaccurately when I placed the order and received a very polite e-mail describing my mistake and telling me how to fix it. I almost didn't place the order because of some of the negative things people have been saying, but I figured I wasn't risking a lot of money. These wouldn't have been my only pair of glasses, so I placed the order and forgot about them. Worked out well for me, I hope it works out well for those who had or are having trouble.

    I placed my 2nd order with Zenni Optical on 12-13-08 because the rimless glasses I ordered 6 months previously screws fell out as I was reading a book. They just fell off my face. So, I decided to order some sturdier frames and they are still not here on Feb 27th, 2009. When I have received an email response (about half of my emails sent) I get the same old "held in customs but we are making you a replacement pair". I have not been able to get through on the phone to a human being. I got my 1st order pretty quickly but they broke 6 months in so I took a chance on a 2nd order but if I had known it would take so long I would not have done so - I'm blind as a bat and need my glasses- Everytime I take my glasses off I pray "Don't break please don't break". This is the last time I order from them and I suggest you don't order from Zenni either.

    I wrote earlier on this website. I received a shipping notice, which provided no tracking information as mentioned below by someone else -on February 19, 2009. Got them today! February 22, 2009. I was really skeptical, but did get them today. I am not going to say they are perfect but they are pretty decent/ok. The rame isn't aligned perfectly, but is pretty close (lenses against around frame) Also, I don't know if I will get headaches or anything like that, because I just got them today. For the price it's alright, plus I thought they had some cool frame selections. The key to this company is to be extremely patient. Just wait and don't think you can speed up your order by calling-because we know all the stories below with customer service. Just be patient.
    One more thing, I ordered the super thin lenses 1.7 index (I think) and they are pretty thin, which is awesome!

    ordered and received glasses from hong kong. then about 3-4 wks later a couple of charges appeared on my credit card that were noticed by the company that was out of the ordinary. they called and asked if I ordered this stuff. they gave me the web page it was from china. I didn't order that stuff, they shut down my card. is there a connection who knows but I am suspicious about it.

    The point of Zenni is to save some serious cash for good glasses. Yes it does take a little time to get the glasses. I have ordered several pair of prescription sunglasses and progressive lense glasses and have always been satisfied. Everyone in my family has ordered from Zenni and have always had excellent results. I suggest that if you need the glasses that quickly then pay the extra dollar for the glasses from your doctor. Everyone seems to think that you should be able to pay 1/4 price for excellent glasses and get them overnight, life doesn't work that way

    I ordered my eyeglasses from Zenni Optiical in June 2007. I was completely satisfied. I placed another order on January 27, 2009 and still have not received them. I tried calling several times to see why I have not received my glasses but could not leave a message because the mailbox was full. One time I was able to talk to someone and I was told the glasses were in their warehouse and should be receiving my glasses shortly. This was on Monday, Feb. 16 and still have not received an e-mail confirming shipment to me and again I cannot leave a message nor can I talk to anyone.     I finally received my order and tried to wear the progressive lens bifocals. I noted that when I look directly ahead I see clearly and without distortion; however, when my eye leaves the "sweet spot" (panning left or right on the upper or lower plane) on the lens I see fuzziness and distortion. I went down to our military optometry office to have the lens verified as the proper prescription and they validated that it was the proper prescription within the "sweetspot" on the lens but not to the left or right of the "sweetspot". Their comment was that it's probably a quality issue with the lens. I weigh their opinion as objective since they don't sell glasses and are not a competitor.
    I provide this feedback to you in hope that you will inspect the quality assurance process with the bifocal lens source and ensure that the quality of the optics in your lens are appropriate. I've been wearing bifocals for 15 years and have never experienced this degree of distortion or eyestrain previously. As it stands now I cannot wear these glasses due to the distortion and eyestrain it causes me.

    I've ordered multiple times from Zenni and always received my glasses in a slow but sure fashion. The price is fantastic and the quality and frame range are great. I ordered from them on the 24th Dec 2008, received 12th Jan. 2009. Ordered the 15th Jan 2009, received 13th Feb 200. Ordered 15th Feb and haven't received those yet, and just ordered another order today, 20th Feb 2009. You just have to be a little patient. The glasses are perfect, and for the first time ever I can use my glasses as a fashion accessory instead of the necessary medical appliances that they are. I missed out on the shoe buying gene.. but this Zenni thing has me in its grip! My daughter and I call ourselves ZenniZombies. ;)

    I ordered my glasses on 1/16/09, I received an email stating my glasses had been shipped on 2/8/09. Today is 2/19/09 and I have not received them. I have tried to call the company, and, as others, I have not been able to talk with any one. After reading these comments, I tried calling again. I did get to talk with someone after my 3rd try. The woman I spoke with was very nice. She said that my order had been sent from Hong Kong on 2/8/09 and could take up to 2 weeks to arrive. I asked why my tracking number has not been updated from the orginal 2/8/09 notice letting me know where the order is. She stated that the Hong Kong mail does not up date and the USPS shows only when the package has been actually delivered. I laughed and told her that I would know at that time myself. I did feel better after talking with her. I will post again and let you know when I do receive my glasses.

    I've been using them for years and I've NEVER had a problem at all! I recommend them to everyone. I've purchased bifocals, sunglass bifocals, titanium prescription glasses for my teen boys, and every single pair have been perfect. Can't say that about any of the local places we've gotten glasses from where often the prescription is wrong, etc. It takes an average of 3ish weeks to receive them but I expected that. I LOVE ZENNI OPTICAL!

    I just received my new eyeglasses two(2) sets of bifocal with sunshades for each for under $135.00. Also I paid for them with my HSA. This is the best deal on eyeglasses ever. I e-mailed them just short of the 2 week mark and they gave me the status on my order the next day. I had to wait a total of three (3) weeks to receive them but it is worth the wait. I got exactly what I ordered. Best of all I can see! I will tell all my friend, co-workers and any one else who ask about my experience. Thank you Clark and your team. You guyes are the best.     I ordered glasses from Zenni on December 24th, 2008. I still have not received them. I understand they are having shipping/customs issues, but every time I speak to someone, via email or phone, they tell me that they will be here within 10 days. So far, this is not the case. This is the second weekend in a row I have been promised them and I have yet to see them! :(

    I waited over 5 weeks for my glasses to arrive and the customer service is certainly lacking but....now that they are here, I am very pleased. I ordered 2 pairs. The quality is great, the prescription is correct and I love them! I would definitely recommend Zenni Optical if you are willing to be patient.

    Well, I got my reading glasses in about 3 weeks or less. They even sent an email apologizing for the delay because of Chinese New Year. They work great and fit perfectly and for about $12 I am very satisfied. I guess I lucked out but some friends are going to try it now.

    ...well I have posted once before and here is a follow-up.

    I ordered on Jan. 2nd and on January 28th after reading these posts, I finally got through. The representative (who I suspect is the only one who works there) was very rude and could not answer any of my questions. Rather, he talked over me when I spoke.

    I told him about all of the comments on the internet from people who also did not receive glasses. His response..."well if I were reading comments on the internet than I wouldn't be answering your call."

    After the EXTREMELY frustrating conversation, I made a 'not so nice' post on this website; referring to the representative as "marginally intelligent." That night, I received an email in my personal email account from him. It said "Zenni Optical Order Notes" and then said "marginally intelligent representative???" That was the whole email!

    I was absolutely appalled! I have never received such an unprofessional response from a business! Apparently he DID do a search to find comments, which would, by his explanation, explain why peoples calls are still not being answered.

    Still today...no glasses or communication. Also, I believe that he is now posting on this site and I am sure he is "Happy".

    I ordered my glasses last week on Jan 31, 2009. My neighbor had ordered several pairs last summer. After I ordered I looked for reviews on zenni optical and found this site. I was kinda scared but then I was like well if doesn't workout I will be $55.00's down. I called a couple times and got the wait for rep and then voice mail, and mailbox full. Yesterday, around 2:15 EST I called and got the whole 10 person-9-8-so on and so forth and talked to the rep. He told me that it would take another 10 days for my order, but it would mark it to expedite the order. I told him how I had read all the reviews and he told me that there was a big shipment held at Customs. I asked for his name and number and he gave me his operator number and name. It seemed alright. So let me wait and see. I will post once and if I get the glasses. Thanks everyone for all the comments.

    I ordered my glasses in early January. I had the COMPLETE rx from my eye doc and followed the instructions to the letter. I knew it would take some time but was patient (ok, a little impatient) and low and behold the glasses did come within three weeks. If you want to save lots of money and can resist the urge to email and call them YOUR GLASSES WILL COME. You just need to be patient.

    I ordered my 5 year lds glasses on January 12th. Only part of my order went through, and by the 13th the full order was confrimed. On February 2nd I recieved them. My daughter was thrilled and she is happy. For a total of $27.00 I got frames and glass you cant go wrong. I am now going to order another pair for my other daughter and then order them both second pair. Oh yea if the frames and glass were all done here in the US I would have an out of pocket of over $600 for each pair.

    ordered on 01/02/09 and received on 02/03//09. I ordered the $8 frames. The color for pink is not as expected, it doesn't look like painted metalic pink as the ones shown in the picture, instead it looks like a pink metal ( u know it looks like copper, but pink...so it's not pink painted. The black metal frame looks fine and better though...it's just a solid black. The frames look ok, except it's quite fragile...the strength of the metal is not comparable to those frames found at the optical store...these frames are not those that will endure wear and tear...I guess they are ok for spare glasses...or for gentle use.

    Wow...I'm glad I found these comments. I was just about to give up on zenni. I've ordered before and have been pleased, but this time I ordered and never got an email confirmation but they did charge my card. My husband ordered and has not gotten his glasses. I've called and called and called to no avail...sent to voice mail which is always full. I looked on Google Earth and apparently they are making good money. Huge house on a hill in San Rafael, CA with a big pool....nobody home? Well, I'll be patient a little longer and see if the glasses clear customs. They must have a big mortgage so I'd think they'd stay in business.

  • Some advice from a repeat Zenni Customer
    here are some suggestions for those of you that cant get through...keep trying. zenni has a total of 10 spots open on their phonelines at any given time. if there are 10 people in queue, you will get kicked to the voicemail which is most likely going to be full. just keep hitting redial if you get the "no operators are available". i tried for about 15 minutes yesterday and got through.

    I also found out that several shipments of glasses (which means more than one or two orders, more like maybe a hundred or so per shipment) got stuck at customs, so what zenni did was remake some orders and have sent them express from hong kong. i just got my tracking number today and it said that my glasses shipped from HK on the 29th. I ordered my glasses on the 12th.

    Just be persistent. Zenni isn't out to steal anyones money and things like lost/slow shippments and poor customer service is the trade-off/risk you take for super cheap glasses. this is my 3rd order with Zenni and the first time I have ever had a problem, so I will continue buying from them. And as far as them having bad customer service, I think its pretty good when you actually get to speak to someone. You can tell its a small operation though because I've talked to the same 3 people each time I've called, so try to cut them a little slack.

    I finally received my glasses on Jan. 31, having ordered them on Jan. 5th. It was definitely a customs issue in China, and clearly out of Zenni Optical's control. I took them to my optomotrist, and she said that the prescription was done perfectly. In addition, they look great. I ordered an $8.00 pair for a total order of $12.95 with shipping.     Finally got them today! Ordered on he 5th and received on 30th. There were bifocals in the order, so I expected them to take longer. I guess the bottom line here is that they arent investing any money in customer service because they aren't really making that much money on the glasses. Let's face it, nobody can touch their prices, so that's the trade off. It's a volume business because of their low profit margin. If they invested money in customer service, I think it's safe to say that the the costs wouldn't be as low as they are. So if you want full customer service, then you probably want to take your business elsewhere. They charged $4.95 for shipping for 8 glasses, and it cost them over $27 to ship them from Hong Kong (ship date shows the 28th). So clearly there isn't much profit being made here!

    I ordered on 12/17/08 and still not got my order. + I have called and emailed 3 times. On my 4th call in, I was on a wait list 10 people back. When I did get a hold of some one. I was told that he would have to call me back. "oh that seems a bit long". My last order I got in less than 2 week and looked good. So I tryed and ordered another pair. At this point I am feeling it just may have been the wrong thing to do. Yes, the very quick charge of your credit card, and paid for and still waiting.

    I ordered 3 pair on 1/12/09, and they were delivered today, 1/30/09. They shipped from Hong Kong on 1/28/09, so if they were held up in costoms, it was on the pre-shipping end. For 3 pair for a total of $33USD, I didn't mind waiting 3 weeks for delivery!!! And FYI, they all fit great, and the prescriptions are all correct.

    I "purchased" a pairof glasses over 6 weeks ago. I say I purchased them because my credit card was charged. No glasses and ZENNI refuses to answer any emails. Their phone line never has anyone available to take a call and the mailbox is not accepting messages.

    Isn't that convenioent. Anyone who uses ZENNI OPTICAL IS A FOOL. Jsut send me your money, no need to even send your prescription. You won't get any glasses, but it's the same as ordering from ZENNI!!!

    I called more than once and was told my glasses would arrive in a couple of days but was lied to because over a month later I still don't have my glasses. Feel really frustrated because I asked for my tracking number but was never emailed to me. I tried calling but no one answers. From what I found online, this is a home run company and the glasses are produced in China and then zenniopticals ships to customers. I am debating whether to wait some more or take this to my credit card company.

    Same Customs Boat. I ordered 2 pair progressives last year took 35 days to receive. The rimless pair cracked at screws, sent back and reordered those and another replacement pair in Oct 08, then the customs thing hit and did finally receive glasses around Dec 27 08. I was scared of loosing money as everyone on here but did finally receive. I would never order the rimless glasses again, still stay loose etc. I think they are over whelmed with orders and customs doesn't help. I normally do not write on these boards but thought I would inform since this is a problem for lots of people. I would patiently wait for 70 days and then file a chargeback if not received. Their prices are worth waiting for but their quality is lacking. I think they are worth the wait/frustation except for the rimless. I would not order if I needed them any faster. I hope this helps some people out.

    It is quite possible that they are in the process of trying to collect as much money as they can before fleeing (which is rather odd, as I've purchased from them in the past and received what I purchased). So, for those people out there that have recently placed orders and actually received them, can you state the date your purchased the glasses and the date your received them? I purchased the glasses on the 5th and haven't had any response as of today (despite emails and attempts to reach a person via the phone). Next step will be to dispute the transaction with my credit card company. Oh well.

    I placed an order for 2 pairs of standard eyeglass (not specialty, ie. bifocals) on January 2. Still waiting.

    I called 2 weeks ago and they said they should be received by Zenni in the next day or two and would then be shipped out. The representative also told me I would receive an email with tracking info once they were on the way. He assured my we would have them within the next week. It's now been 2 weeks and NO GLASSES! I have been unsuccessful in getting through. I sent an email on Sunday and have been calling the past 2 days with no success in reaching a person.

    I suspect they are out of business!

    I placed my order 12/23/08 and have not received them yet. Each time I have called to check status, I have been given a different excuse.

    I have been trying to contact Zenni all day...the main # 415-785-7003 does not even ring anymore....I sent an email to the Service Dept via zennioptical.com and also faxed a letter to the fax line in hopes of generating some sort of response.

    I ordered at the recommendation of a coworker who has ordered in the past and been very satisfied. Now I am not sure it was a good idea...but it is a relatively cheap mistake....

    It appears that they are still in business. I got through on their 800 number today, and inquired about my order which was placed in December. The customer service rep explained that the shipment with my glasses in it was intercepted in a "random customs inspection" on Dec. 30, which is the cause for the delay. He did not have any idea when they would receive the shipment, nor when it would be shipped to me. When I gently complained that my credit card was charged immediately, he just said "that's the way we do it". That may be the way they do it, but I think it is a poor business practice. Most on-line businesses do not charge your credit card until the order is shipped to you.

    I placed an order on January 9th and still have not received my two pairs of glasses that I ordered which were charged to my card the same day. I tried sending them emails and didnt get a response. I called their two numbers and one the voicemail was full the other is disconnected.     I placed an order over a month ago and, except for the order confirmation email, have received no other info (nor the glasses) from them. Tried calling their 800 #, but the recording says no one is available to take my call, and another recording says the voice mailbox is full, so I can't even leave a message. Sent two emails, about a week apart, and received no response at all. Their web site doesn't seem to be working either. My credit card was charged as soon as I placed the order. At this point, not sure if I should give them a little more time, or just ask my credit card company to remove the charge and try some other place. Such a shame... the first pair of glasses I ordered from Zenni was great, and was received in a little over two weeks.

    It's been over 2 weeks since I bought glasses on Zennioptical.com, and I'm getting headaches every day because I need my glasses. I too feel a little guilty that I didn't order from a USA manufacturer. I found more frames that I liked from Zenni, so I ordered from them. It's getting pretty obvious that they're being made somewhere very far away, since I still haven't received them. I have a very simple, very low strength prescription, so it shouldn't take so long.

    I have been ordering glasses from Zenni Optical ever since they first started online. My daughter is active in sports and we did pay close to $500 for one pair... we got the same exact pair from Zenni for just under $35. They have lasted forever, no problems what so ever... in fact, all family members have at least 3 to 4 pairs of glasses that they can change with the wardrobe... Have high school girls, this is simply a must! We just purchased 4 pairs for just over $45. Now, we are ordering for friends and relatives... Highly recommended. About the one comment about being charged several times on the credit card.... If you look closely, you will see a little message their telling you NOT to push the button until the screen clears... We have never had that problem at all. Very professional! All total, I think we have ordered close to 100 pairs.... family and friends....

    Being on the local volunteer fire company, I worry about my VERY EXPENSIVE glasses getting damaged at a fire scene, or at a drill. I purchased a back up pair glasses at Zennioptical.com. I am completely satisfied; however I am haunted by the fact that I may put an American (including Canada) out of a job. I feel guilty.

    Maybe it’s my fate, a week after receiving my Zennioptical.com glasses, I got laid off.

    An article (not advertisement) in my local Sunday paper’s consumer section boasted www.39dollarglasses.com. These glasses are about 50% more for a comparable pair of glasses, but they are made in the USA.

    Maybe Clark can try some glasses from www.39dollarglasses.com. Since being laid off, I have been watching my money.

    By the way (BTW): Next time I will not purchase my VERY EXPENSIVE glasses from my eye doctor, I will try www.39dollarglasses.com.

    we went online and put in credit card info and clicked on submit order then the next screen says order not complete so we thought we needed to try again we did and again order not complete we thought the card did not worl so we tried a different card still said order not complete we gave up thinking our cards were not charged and we could not call on sunday, monday I called and they said if it said not complete we were not charged, I looked at my statement online and they charged the card three times!!! my wife was so mad so we called customer sevice again and she said she saw that it said not complete and it did charge our card 3 seperate times so instead of 32.80 it was like 98.00 she said she would take off the first two orders. So we will wait and see if we get the 2 credits ...

    7 week delivery. Bad left lense (examined by opthalmologist). Returned for replacement -- response "they were made to the Rx, you have 2 choices: return at your expense or 50% credit". I took the 50% but would not recommend this company.

    I ordered my glasses on 11-20-08. They are progressive bifocals and the shipping terms, if you read them carefully, do tell you that it will take a month to get them. I waited patiently. They sent me an email advising me that my glasses had shipped on 12/13/08 and I received them on 12/20/08. They're great! I would never have been able to get new glasses without them.

    64 Days Still no Glasses!

    I was told they remade the glasses and they were shipped out on Dec 8.
    I then was told they were shipped out on Dec 12th. I did get a USPS tracking number. The USPS website indicates an electronic notification was received from the shipping company. This does not indicate a package was actually received to be shipped.

    OK this information has not changed in 6 days.
    Either USPS website is not updating their information (Highly Unlikely) or Zenni has not sent the glasses to be shipped.
    I did receive an email from them this morning stating the glass have been shipped on the 12th and to contact them in five days if my order has not arrived. So that means I should contact them on Dec 24th, Christmas Eve, if my glasses have not been shipped. Looks like they are trying to buy more time.
    I should dispute the charges and try to get reimburst my $100. I gave them more than enough time and believe I have been patient.
    I would definitely stay away from this company. If you are counting on receiving dependable glasses, stay away from Zenni Optical. If your a gambling man, then who knows, you may or may not receive them. I surely don't know.

    I am just frustrated at their near lack of customer service and the way they will respond to the consumer with anything to buy more time.

    I just bought two pairs of glasses from Zenni. I was skeptical due to the poor ratings some have given them online. However, my glasses came and are perfect! I still can't believe that I only paid $8 for them. They arrived in a little over two weeks, and I had absolutely no problems with them. I have received many compliments on my glasses and have referred everyone to their site. I plan to order more in the next few days.
  • OK, so the customer service after the sale is poor... you have heard enough to know that. If you are a smart buyer, and not a (pleeeease heeeelp meeee) sheep, you should be able to figure out how to get good glasses from Zenni. If you need your hand held, go somewhere else and be haaaaappy.

    Ordered pair of glasses. Got an email from their customer service questioning one of the numbers I copied from my prescription, said it looked odd. Sure enough, I had transposed a number and they caught it and followed up!

    Hearing a voice on the other end would be a little bit more reassuring. The lack of communication should make me feel uneasy.

    I have ordered in the past from Zenni and have been very happy! I am also one of the many waiting for Customs to release my glasses. I do believe in Zenni and have recommended them to others who have had nothing but success and I suggest that all others in my situation hang in there! I called Zenni today regarding my glasses and was informed that they were re-submitting all the orders for replacement ant that the new order will be shipped in 2-3 weeks. If or when customes finishes their inspection and releases the orders I will receive that set of glasses free of charge! Folks hang in there I say this as a past customer and I do believe that this has nothing to so with any lack of concern for the customer or is a "Rip Off" on Zenni Opticals end!!!

    when I told my wife I was ordering a new pair of glasses on line she looked at me as if I were nuts. In the past she had worked for and optical shop and did not see how Zennni could deliver a quality product for the price(i wear a progressive bifocal with heavy correction for nearsightedness and astigmatism).I recieved my glasses in less than 2 weeks even though Zenni had advised it would be 3 to 4 weeks due the nature of my perscription. The glasses fit and I can see great with them. ( my wife took the pd measurment for me since she is a trained professional, but the directions on the webb site were exactly what she did). Ever being the skeptic she could only come up with 'I wonder how long they will last'...my response at $56.00 complete w/ clipon sunshade if they only last 6 months or a year it still is less than half the cost of a new set of lenses alone.

    So far I am satisfied with the product and the service..

  • No Glasses for Almost 50 days
    I have read many great comments about Zenni Optical and decided to give them a shot. I ordered a pair from them on 0ct 15th 2008 for my elderly father. As of today (Dec 3, 2008) I have not received them. I received an email response 3 weeks ago my order was stalled in customs and had just been released. They told me to expect them in 3 to 5 days. They were not delivered. After many attempts to call them (unable to get through-No reps available and voice mail is full), I did receive another email approx a week ago. They advised me the glasses will be delivered during the Thanksgiving holidays. Still no glasses. I was advised I would get a tracking number once they are mailed out. I still have not received any tracking number. This has led me to believe my order has not even been sent or yet even processed. After initially answering my email, the last 3 subsequent emails have not been replied to.
    It has been 49 days and no glasses! I had an invoice of $100.00. The lack of communication and the non delivery of goods have left a queasy feeling in my gut. Hoping this is not a Rip Off. I am beginning to regret not going to a brick and mortar store, at least I can talk to the people face to face.

    I almost didn't order from Zenni Optical due to the negative comments, but I felt the risk was worth it for the hundreds of dollars I would save. I was not disappointed. My glasses arrived in less than two weeks, and the lenses are perfect in every respect. I got every upgrade offered, including transitional lenses, plus my prescription is for progressive bifocals. The only negative I could find is that I needed narrow frames and had to get some ugly children's frames to be able to accommodate both the narrow frames and enough lens depth for progressive bifocals. I can deal with ugly frames when everything else is so perfect.

  • Zenni not for everyone.
    A continuation: As another reviewer said, ordering mail order glasses requires a surprisingly high level of effort and understanding from a consumer who is probably unskilled in optometry. The time required must be counted in addition to the $. Given the time, Zenni is best for simple vision needs. One must consider a lot of choices with the frame features, appearance for your face shape, size, compatibility with bifocals, and having to get the Rx exactly correct and entered correctly. Anything unusual can be a real gotcha – like my wife has a high Rx. Zenni did a fairly good job on the web site with help links and warnings about unusual stuff, but they doubly missed this one. I originally placed the order for a rimless and there was no warning during the order. They bounced the order because the thickness was incompatible with the rimless. So we switched to full rims, a frustrating repeat process for a woman who had previously decided on the only acceptable model in the world! Hers arrived on time and the visual acuity is great. But the web site also has no warning about when high refractive index material is needed and now hers look like the bottoms of Coke bottles. They are over a ¼” thick and I don’t blame her for not wearing them. So, most problems are probably due to the consumer not being prepared or able to get all of the order right. The problem I have is Zenni’s refusal to be responsible when they ship junk.
  • Zenni quality is inconsistent and not backed.
    I received my model # 9131-12 glasses right on time. Initially I was impressed with the Rx quality and appearance. I particularly liked the temples, which had a unique blending of the shade from gray near the hinge to black at the rear. But 3 weeks later, the PAINT started chipping off revealing white plastic underneath! Unbelievable. After 45 days, they are unpresentable. Customer no-service responded nicely but will not correct having sold me junk. My previous pair, model #5842-12, is still fine. Apparently they could care less about reputation as they won’t stand behind their product. A mail-order Las Vegas.

    I ordered two pairs and have been waiting over a month. The shipment has been delayed due to "Customs". After calling several times and getting voicemail or mailbox is currently full, I started trying random numbers. I GOT THROUGH. Try a 3 digit extension when you get the recording starting with 24 (ex. 241, 242, 243, etc). I got through to a live person on my 3rd number.

    ..look, people do not know the local robber..er, eye doctor...makes a 300% to 700% markup on eyeglasses..he buys the cheap Asian made ones, and he gets them for $20...and sells them for $279.95......all the frames are Asian made now.....I own 9 pairs of Zenni $8 glasses, and my eye doc at the Veterans Administration was shocked, showed her the bill..and her boss said he was offered them for $3 a pair...from Asia....bout time this 700% plus markup stopped slaughtering people that need glassses.....

    I don't have vision insurance and my last pair of glasses (from Walmart, no less) were over $300. I got my glasses from Zenni today and for $54 I've got darling rimless on. Prescription was perfect. pay attention to the fine print - I knew it was only 50% refund, but heck, at $54, what's the big deal? I'm going online right now to order Rx sunglasses.

    Zenni says they were randomly searched by customs and that is why my order is delayed. I think they lost half of there work force. No one answers the phone. They do say the orders are going out in a recorded message. There prices maybe going up without there cheap labor.

  • Not so honest Optometrist
    I usually go to a medical doctor to have my eyes checked, but he stopped taking my insurance so instead I went to an optometrist who accepted my insurance. The optometrist shared the building with For Eyes optical, which is known for reasonable prices, but I wanted to try an on-line optical service, Zenni Optical recommended by Atlanta consumer advocate Clark Howard, which would be even lower than For Eyes.

    I received my prescription and went on line to Zenni Optical to order my glasses. The online page said I would need the PD (Pupillary Distance) to order glasses. The Zenni website said that if an optometrist was also in the business of “selling glasses” that they would often leave the PD box blank, so that you could not buy eye glasses from a competitor.

    The Zenni web site also said you could call the doctor and ask for your PD, that sometimes the PD was listed in your file but just not written on your prescription. I did and the receptionist said that it was not in my file and but “For Eyes would give you that when you order your glasses.”

    Next I found an email address on the optometrist website and emailed for my PD and received no response.

    On the day I had my eyes checked, I was on my way to work, so I didn’t have my eyes dilated. The doctor said I could return for my dilation for no charge. I did return, and while the doctor was dilating my eyes, I asked the doctor to measure my Pupillary Distance. The Zenni web site it is a quick and easy procedure where the doctor measures the distance between your pupils with a ruler. The doctor said, “I don’t know how to do that. They will do that next door (For Eyes).” I wish she would have just said, “They will do that next door” and not lied. I would have gotten the message.

    My last resort was to call the receptionist at the medical doctor I had gone to in the past. The Zenni web site said your PD never changes, so I gave my name and asked, “Do you have my PD in my file? She said, “Wait a minute. (pause) Sure it’s 67. Would you like to make and appointment? Not now but I sure will next year. Thank you.”

    I recently purchased eyeglasses from them about 2 weeks ago and still haven't received them at this point. While browsing their website I saw that they were a reasonable price and 2 weeks to arrive I thought this would be great. I have called to check on them and spoke to someone very rude and unhelpful she suggested that for $12 bucks just wait until they come in. I thought wow what happened to good customer service? After all what if everyone stops purchasing from you guys what job would you have? None!!

    I purchased rimless glasses 4 months ago, the arm on the glasses broke chipping the glass, then the plastic around the earpiece came off the wire. I called, waited for 10 minutes and spoke to someone who had no idea what customer service was all about. Needless to say, I got no where.     Some of the bad reviews here, I think, are just plain unfair. People should know the company's policies before ordering. For example, bifocals average 3 weeks (not 10 days) to receive. If you need to return your glasses, you get a 50 % refund (not 100%), if there are production errors they will remake at no charge. Know the deal you are getting!!! That said, I've ordered twice from Zenni and had no problems either time. I even ordered for my 76 yr old mother and she's over the moon with the quality, appearance and fit of her bifocals...she can't believe she got 2 pairs of great glasses for $75 when she got one pair of below average glasses at Sam's Club for nearly $200 she was never happy with. I give Zenni and A+ for the savvy consumer. One caveat: be careful with you pupil distance measurement. For me and my Mom we got them off old orders from Sam's Club so we know they were correct...I suggest trying to get PD from a prior glasses order (if you can).

    I recently ordered a pair of glasses online for the first time. I remembered hearing Clark Howard talk about this company and others with respect to affordable eyeglasses. The frame that I ordered was listed in the new arrival section. However, shortly after I received my order on 10/4/08, the frame was discontinued. Now I know why. They are so unstable and won't keep there shape. Once I have them adjusted to where they fit my face securely, within a couple of hours, they are loose again. I called Zenni's customer no service, and boy are they rude. I mean really really rude. I asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold. When the rep came back, he told me that the manager was at lunch and then he quoted the standard refund policy again. I then immediately called back and asked for manager again. The young lady that answered the phone told me that she was a manager. I told her that I was just told that the only manager was at lunch. She wouldn't give me her full name and was more rude than the first guy that I spoke too. She even told me that she was going to hang up on me if I didn't tell her what I was calling for, so I hung up on her instead. I'm afraid to return my glasses for a 50% refund based on the other responses on this site. It looks like they will end up with my glasses and still have my entire $89.00. My advice would be to order somewhere else. Even if it means paying a higher price for good customer service. I was a first and last customer of Zenni Optical.

    I have many friends and co-workers who have ordered from Zenni and were happy so I placed an order for 2 pair of glasses. I received the glasses 16 days later. I did not like one pair I had ordered and agreed to take the 50% refund amount. I, following Zenni's return policy, sent the glasses back to Zenni on or around 9/20/80. I have not received the 50% credit as of today(10/14/08) so I tried to contact them. I have sent 3 e-mails form 3 different e-mail accounts that I have and all 3 were sent back by the e-mail carriers as NON-DELIVERABLE. I have tried to call on the phone dialing an 800 number(800-211-215) as well as a long distance number(415-785-7003). The 800 number goes to a FULL voice mailbox and the 415 number says all lines are busy please call back. Neither number gives you the chance to "hold" until someone answers. Any suggestions? Have they shut down their operation?

    I have purchased three pairs of glasses from Zenni and they are all perfect. I was sceptical at first and ordered a basic pair of sunglasses because I had read some nightmare stories but was so impressed when they arrived that I then ordered two further pairs.
    They are by no way designer quality but for the price you pay they are amazing.

    I've ordered from Zenni now 3 times. I've bought for my son, wife, and my dad both regular & sunglasses. Each order was delivered on time and the glasses were perfectly crafted. I've called them with questions and found them courteous and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend them and honestly don't believe some of the posts I've read here. I've always ordered the standard $8 frames - they've been great. For a total investment of $8 + $5 shipping how can you go wrong!

    My husband and I bought SIX pairs of eyeglasses between us and EVERY one of them is perfectly crafted. We spent less on all six pairs than we did on the one pair we had bought through local frames supplier. Zenni service was fast and accurate. Zenni frames quality is great. For such a low cost for eyewear, you've got to give Zenni a try. Clark is right on by recommending this site.

    i've bought four pairs of glasses from zenni and only had problems with one pair. but, must say my fault. they make the lenses exactly like you tell them i put in a minus instead of plus. there standard offer of only 50% refund pays for the frames, not the lenses. in most cases it's your mistake. the only problem is that i've gone back to them and have problems getting onto their site. just be careful when you order and you'll be happy. i will buy again. ps, my wife has two pairs and is thrilled.

    and still don't have glasses I have sent them back 2 times and payed the postage and only got 50%or less on my return the last time I sent a pair back
    I sent a copy of the priscription and a copy of the order form with the glasses and waited almost 3 weeks and then called them they said they lost the priscription and wanted me to send another so i thought about it for a couple of days then called them back and cancled the order I was unfortunate
    to get a very very rude person she wouldn't even give me a chance to explain so i asked to talk to her boss she said that she was the boss so i ask to speak to someone higher up the line and she said they were in China.We live on a fixed income and we lost over $50.00 county the postage on sending 2 pair back.I will not recomend them to anyone.

  • Ordered And Paid For 6/25.08-No Glasses 8/14/08 ZENNI IS A RIP OFF
    I took a chance w/this on line company, buying glasses, stylish too- progressive and transitionals, paid $108 for them-on line. And I expected to receive them w/in a reasonable time frame.
    When I called the first time-10 or so days after ordering and having my order confirmed- to inquire about my glasses, I was told there had been a problem and due to the fact that the glasses were being made in China, that I should add another 10 day to the wait.
    I complained then, because despite the fact that Zenni has my contact info- email and a phone number, mailing address etc- I had to call them to I hear the one about China. I guess they agreed w/me though because they emailed me a advisory updating me about their problems, delivering my order.
    But when I called the second time- 10 days later and their projected date of arrival and still no glasses or notice updating me- I had problems tryinig to get through on their 1-800 number or their 415, etc.
    I got scared then, because I thought what if they're just a couple of people operating out of their home and
    after spending about 2 hours or so trying to get through to them- I kept getting the voice over advising me, their lines were busy and that I could leave a message or wait, only to have my calls automatically disconnected-I finally reached a man, who listened sypathetically and told me I could cancel the order if I wanted to, but I decided against it, because how much longer could it possibly take?
    Well that was in the middle of July-it's now the 14th of August and I being told, I can cancel my order but I'm out for the $108. That might be ok for someone w/$108 in his or her pocket to spare, but it's not for me.

    When i called today to cancel, I was told
    1) they'd cancel, but my money wouldn't be returned
    2, the peroson I spoke w/refused to give me their addressed when I asked for it, because she didn't hae to "the information was on the web site" and when I asked for her name, she refused, because she "wasn't comepelled to" and was going to "terminate the call", which she did.

    when they arrived, I tried them on and the "distance" lens was on the bottom where the "reading bifocal should have been.

    I'm on my 3rd pair of glasses from Zenni Optical and it has taken me this long to give up on them. The lens quality is poor. Each pair were dropped over time and each pair has a large chip out of at least one of the lens. They are inexpensive enough that I could just keep replacing them but I'm going to stick with made in USA....maybe more expensive but in my opinion much better quality.

    Hearing about Zenni from Clark I ordered a pair of glasses. They're progressives with transition and sunglasses for $96, so I figured how bad could it be. Turns out pretty bad; my ophthalmologist has advised me not to wear them they're so bad. I called Zenni to get an RA# to return them but their voice mailbox was full, so I've emailed for the same thing. Will advise as things progress.
  • STAY AWAY FROM ZENNI OPTICAL
    I ordered two pair of glasses for my in laws from Zenni. From the day I received my father-in-laws glasses he has nothing but problems with the frames.

    The lenses were not cut correctly to keep the arms and nose bridge from moving up and down on the lens. Zenni sent a new pair of frames, but I told them that I believed this would not correct the problem and that the lenses needed to re-cut and drilled correctly.
    They said try the new frames first and if it doesn’t correct the problem we will go from there. Well, it didn’t correct the problem and now the lenses have turned a permanent yellowish brown.

    So, I contacted their customer service and the lady I spoke with told me that during the time that I purchased these glasses that they were having a problem with the manufacturing of their transition lenses and to wait for a response to me email that I had sent to them about this problem.

    Their email came about an hour later and it said, “At this point, the glasses are well beyond warranty.” In my opinion Clark needs to remove his recommendation of this company since I believe they are nothing more than thieves.

We ordered 3 pair of prescription galsses, plus a pair of prescription sunglasses, all for $96.00. We could'nt even get one pair retail for that. We were all very satisfied with our order, and since then have ordred more glasses when our prescription has changed, with satisfaction with our second order as well. I am a Zenni Optical Fan. Thanks so much for saving us soooo much money Clark by introducing this site to us. There are 5 people in my family and 4 of us wear glasses. This has helped us a great deal. Thanks for all you do.

    Have had three pair. fit, weight, and visual acuity were perfect. Unfortuantely, the gold pair turned green on the temples and turned my skin black after about three months. (What you expect for $8.00.) Company would not replace the temples or glasses but they did offer new frames for $4.00. All I had to do was to make out same order with same frame with IP size but leave power blank. They sent same frame for $4.00. And, I have ordered another one. In sum, cheap frames that tarnish quickly....but fit perfectly and look nice. But, the $4.00 replacement is a pretty good deal and easy to fix. (Maybe Titanium would be better....but watch the gold...)

    I got an eye exam recently and shopped everybody for two pairs of glasses I needed (1 single vision, 1 pair progressives) - two pairs from everybody from Costco, Visionworks, Pearle, Sears, BJs ranged from $500-$600 - I have a high prescription and needed 1.67 High Index Lenses. At Zenni I was able to get two nice sets of frames (one memory lightweight titanium) for $128 complete, shipped, and included sunglass clip-ons. The progressives fit perfectly without adjustment...the single vision memory titanium needed some adjustment on the temples, and since those are hard to adjust, I took them to an optometrist who heated them up and made a perfect adjustment for me free of charge (I was willing to pay up to $30 but he offered to do it for free). He noted that the glasses were a nice set and the lenses were cut very well. Because of Zenni being available as a low-cost quality option, I was then able to purchase a pair of prescription performance designer sunglasses (Bolle) for $175 (since Zenni doesn't offer those types of frames) for a total of three pairs for $300 !!! As far as the customer service, it was great too. When I called in to get help and advice on how to order progressives, the representative was very helpful in explaining what frame models I should select and what measurements to be sure to get from my optometrist. I have seen negative comments on Zenni, but my experience only confirms my belief that Zenni's are a great option, and as long as you are an educated consumer and follow instructions correctly during the ordering process, as well as are willing to have some patience when calling their customer service dept. for further assistance (it does take about a 5-10 minute wait but it is worth it), you will get a great deal. It is the uneducated and impatient consumers that are not a fit for being a Zenni purchaser that are likely generating all the negative comments. Thanks Clark - you are right on this one...

    One word about Zenni Optical....stink...stank...stunk...ok three words. Rudest people I have ever dealt with along with a crummy product. We ordered my wife's glasses from Zenni from the praise that Clark gave them. I sent the glasses back becasue you could not even see out of the glasses. Zenni would not accept refunding my money so I stopped payment from my credit card. Zenni disputed this with my credit card company. My credit card company contacted me about the dispute and asked me if I wanted to recant on the dispute. I did so by sending them all of information that I had on the purchase plus all of the negative responses from the internet that so many people were dissatisfied with Zenni's rude people and sub standard product. My recommendation....stay away from this company less you want to have a battle on your hands...I like you Clark....but dump this crummy company for they are not good for your ratings for recommending them.

    I managed to spend $28 by adding clip on sunglasses and anti glare coatings. I got the flexible titanium frames (similar to the brand name Flexon I had before).

    At the Optomitrist with vision insurance I paid nearly $300 4 years ago. This year I use my health insurance to get the exam for $25 and Zenni to get the glasses for $28, shipped.

    I just received my glasses from Zenni that I purchased through your website. The glasses are great.I paid $51.00 total which included shipping but they are well worth it. My eye doctor wanted to charge me over $300.00 for glasses that looks about the same as the ones I received from Zenni. The ordering process was very easy to understand and it took less than 2 weeks to receive my glasses and the selection of glasses that Zenni offers are great. My brother told me about your website and I am so very glad that he did because I could not afford to pay for my glasses at the price the doctor wanted. Thank you so much for informing the public about savings like these.
