Northwest Airlines has a meltdown

There is a meltdown underway within Northwest Airlines. Each day their problems get worse and worse. Northwest has been canceling huge amounts of flights, upwards of 10%. Pilots are allowed to fly only a certain amount of hours in a month and Northwest doesn't have enough pilots. This means at some points in the month, they don't have enough pilots to fly their airplanes. If your flight is going to be canceled by Northwest you want to push them to book you on another airline. If you don't, you could be stranded somewhere for a long time. Don't bother using the phone to reach them either because they won't answer. Try using the web and don't get stranded.

U-Haul has safety issues

The moving truck company U-Haul has put people's lives at risk because of terrible safety issues. There is a huge lack of proper maintenance and safety checks that go on in the company. So, if you need a trailer or truck to move stuff, look at their competition. The LA Times wrote a story on the issues that U-Haul has had and found all these problems. Many people have been hurt badly because of these terribly maintained fleets of trucks.

T-mobile's wifi experiment

T-mobile has just released a new technology where your cell phone can switch over to wifi automatically when it senses it in range. They have a new plan where you can get unlimited minutes in a wifi spot for $10 a month as the introductory rate. This means that when you make calls from a wifi spot it won't count against your minutes. As of today, the service is available nationally. This also would make calls based out of your home, if you have wifi, totally free. So check it out, it might save you some dough.
