Have you ever lied on a resume? If you have, you’re not alone. Almost half of all people lie on their resumes. Surveys show that 47 percent lie about jobs they’ve held, education and dates of employment. The sadder part is that only about half of all employers actually check the facts on resumes. For those companies that do check, educational institutions are very cooperative and quick to give that information. They don’t want people claiming they went to their school if they didn’t. Unfortunately, employers don’t take the same tack. They are scared of being sued, so they don’t really offer much information or sometimes don’t cooperate at all. So, what are people lying about?
