Review sites help find great service

You’ve probably heard about all of the review sites out there that have helped people pick hotels, electronics and other products these days. They include epinions.com, tripadvisor.com, cnet.com. Now there is a new site for home improvement work. It’s called angieslist.com. In addition, kudzu.com offers reviews for all kinds of businesses in Atlanta and will soon be in San Diego, Las Vegas and Phoenix. In today's busy, diconnected world, we can't depend on word of mouth anymore. Luckily, we have these sites!

Beware of magazine "invoice" in the mail

You are about to get a lot of magazine propaganda in the mail, especially if you own a business. Several listeners have sent Clark some of these “invoices” that look exactly like bills. Now, if you turn them over and look on the back, you will read that the paper is not a bill or invoice. Furthermore, it says, “You are not under any obligation to renew at this time.” But people pay these all the time. They look like bills, so people think they owe money and they pay. You’re going to get these invoices and, in many cases, you might think they are real. They are not, so always read the mice type.
