Cussing at work on the rise

Clark saw a story in Fortune magazine about foul language in the workplace. According to the story, cursing at the office has increased 80 percent in the past few years. Now, it’s acceptable in some offices and is considered part of a person’s creativity. Clark thinks that cursing amongst friends and in the right company is fine. But in the workplace, it’s not appropriate. Tell us what you think in out latest poll.

Clark nabs a nickel on the street

Clark was riding around on his scooter yesterday and had to stop at a traffic light. He looked down and saw a nickel on the ground, so he picked it up. He thought it was a given. But a woman in a car next to him took issue with him right then and there. She let him know that it was one of the cheapest moves she’d ever seen. Well, that’s the way Clark has always been, and it’s how he’s made money over the years. If things like doing price comparisons and shopping in warehouse clubs seem like too much of a bother, it adds up. The only thing Clark spends money on in a foolish and reckless way is ice cream. But that’s his Achilles Heel. We all can have one, right?

The cost of gas - at home and at the pump

In states with low gasoline taxes, you’re going to see prices drop into the $1 range. The price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline at wholesale is $1.45 right now. So, depending on where you live and the taxes charged in your state, you could be paying a lot less at the pump. Keep in mind that some states charge very little in taxes while others charge a huge amount, and the station usually posts that information. What about natural gas? The cost at wholesale is about 44 cents a therm. So, at retail, states that regulate the natural gas market, the price will go down significantly. In states that have deregulated the system, it’ll be up to the various companies what to charge you. Economists are speculating that the price will be about 75 cents a therm at retail, which is great. Who knows how long it will last? But for now, this is great news for winter.

What's up with Clark's next book?

Many of you have been asking when Clark’s next book, "Clark Smart Real Estate," will be out. It was supposed to be on shelves a few months ago, but there has been a delay. Clark plans to sit down with his publisher in the next few weeks to discuss the publication date of “Clark Smart Real Estate” and the book after that, which is yet unnamed. We will keep you posted on what happens in that meeting and what the expected publication date is.
