Post office to sell company stamps

The postal service is entering into an experiment with companies to increase revenue. You will soon see the Hewlett Packard logo on stamps you buy at the post office, for instance. Some people are upset about the USPS helping companies advertise, but Clark thinks this is a great idea. If there is a way to save the consumer money through legitimate deals like this, why not make it happen. He feels the same about "naming rights" on parks and stadiums. If a company is willing to pay money and it keeps the park in existence, what's the harm?

Credit card debt dropping

The credit card industry is having a tough time these days. That’s because consumers are carrying lower balances on their cards. In fact, the number of people who are paying off balances in full has increased 50 percent in the past four years. Clark is ecstatic about this! The Wall Street Journal conducted a study, and people simply don’t want to pay 18 percent – the average interest rate – on items they buy. As a result, you’ll probably start to see more offers in the mail and solicitations for balance transfers. There are a lot of gotchas with those deals, so you have to read the fine print.

Vote Clark into the Radio Hall of Fame!

Clark found out recently that he has been nominated for the Radio Hall of Fame and he considers it a great honor. Only 112 radio personalities have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since radio began. So, it’s the equivalent of a sports Hall of Fame for radio folks. To vote for Clark, you have to join the Hall of Fame, which costs $15. He understands if his thrifty listeners may not want to pay the money, but if you would like to support him just go to radiohof.org. Thanks for your support! We think he deserves it.
