Apr 21, 2006 -- Eight foot televisions on the way!
Picture the door leading into your home or apartment. Now turn it sideways and hang it on your wall. That is the size TV that Panasonic wants you to buy. Its the next step in the process of televisions becoming home theaters. By Clarks calculations, HDTVs cost about 65 percent less than they did in 2004. At the same time, the quality has gotten better. So, when do you buy? Well, it depends on what you want to buy. There are those for about $6,000. Then there are the middle of the road brands for about $2,500. And finally, Clarks choice would be the 32-inch LCD or bigger DLP, which range from several hundred to about $1,700. So, there is a price curve and prices will continue to drop. Dont buy what you dont need.
