Jun 02, 2005 -- Cheaper high-speed Internet in some states

During Book Tour 2005, Clark has heard several questions about affordable high speed Internet and when it’s going to be available. Well, there is a new partnership between SBC and Yahoo that could be the answer you’re looking for. Depending on which phone service you have, you will pay either $14.95 or $19.95 a month for high speed Internet. The catch is that you must have SBC phone service and line. But that is a terrific price for the actual high speed connections. People living in the following states have access: Wisconsin, Texas, Ohio, Connecticut, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, California, Michigan, Oklahoma, Nevada, Kansas and Missouri. So, basically, if you have your phone with SBC you’re probably eligible. SBC is being extra aggressive and you are the recipient – now and in the future. By creating more competition, Clark predicts that you’ll be able to get high speed Internet for $10 by Christmas 2007. We’ll keep you posted.
