I became a member of USAA (as a dependent of a former navy officer) when I started driving. My parents told me they were the best, and afer 30 years, I agree! My husband became a member when we married, we added home insurance to our auto insurance, and now we bank with them, too. Their customer service is tops!<br> A Bank of America employee was giving me a hard time when I closed my account, asking what they could do to keep me as a customer. I said I was going to a company that treated its customers right. He asked, "Who?" As soon as I said, "USAA," all his objections stopped. He said he not only understood, but he was also a USAA customer! <br> I've had one claim for hail damage to my roof and one for damage to my car when a (probably uninsured) motorist hit me and drove away. Both were quicky and fully resolved to my satisfaction. <br> Interesting to note that the orthopedic doctor I went to after the car accident asked if I was paying or if insurance was paying. He then prescribed physical therapy and medications that I didn't need (and didn't use). No wonder premiums keep increasing!
