I opened my ME account recently (from out of state). The set up was extensive (as I did mine just prior to the new web site going online), but I appreciate the security measures they have taken. I've had a number of questions for them, and I can say they are the quickest of any financial institution to respond to my questions. I have contacted them via phone, e-mail, and chat session. I got connected to a customer service rep w/in seconds. The new web site is the most user-friendly bank site I've ever used, and the chat session was quick. Everyone I've spoken to so far has been extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.<br> The requirements for getting the 6% APY are really not that out of line. I'm doing nearly all of those things are my other banks already. These other places are giving me anywhere from 0% (bank) - .25% (credit union).<br> I am looking forward to a long business relationship with Southern Community Bank and Trust. They have thus far demonstrated that they really are "small enough to care". Now let's just hope that their 6% continues for a long time!
