Size does not matter, debt does. I know how I got to this point. $16,000 in cc, $78,000 on home, $377.00 on auto, $37,000 in investment property. Helping someone to get on their feet. When child is in secure job and able to pay bills, then will be able to pay off auto, pay down credit cards, and maybe sell investment or pay off. Auto repairs and student debt was pushing me downward, and then the gas and food did the rest. I should know better, I did work in loan servicing (when loan were in arrears). I will be debt free again. Also, no child support ever received and x-husband cashed in child's college fund. I did not get rich, he did
