I work in Europe and have had dental laser treatment. I had one cavity filled, a root canal repaired, and one metal filling replaced. A drill was needed for the metal filling but the whole procedure was painless and I walked out with my mouth feeling the same as it did when I walked in. On top of that, when I got there I had to wait all of two minutes before sitting in the chair. Try that in the states. The whole thing cost me a under $200. US news has a good article on Medical vacations. Dental work on vacation outside the states is something to consider also.
