Clark,<br> In the last 10 days, I had one cc fraud charge on my Visa account. I noticed fraud charge while reconciling my paper cc receipts with the VISA vendor's on-line access display of account charges before the paper statement arrived. The fraud chare was $23.94, but perhaps a test charge to see if I were paying attention. I immediately closed my Visa account, and then had new account opened and card issued. I am very careful about not giving it out my cc number or using it too much other than foreign travel. I did use this Visa CC a Jan 2008 visit to El Salvador, and now wonder whether the cc theives are somehow getting access to cc records from hotel and restaurent providers in these small foreign countries.
