Recommend changing air filters from throw away paper type to one that uses an oiled cotton gauze element which can be cleaned & reoiled when dirty.<br> <br> I used a K&N brand filter on my Chevy pickup (there are other brands)and will be purchasing one for my Toyota very soon.<br> <br> Another course of action would be a tuneup with new spark plugs & spark plug wires, the thicker the wire the better (wider path = better electron flow).
