I'm a full time college student with a part-time job that ends next week, a four year old and twins on the way. My credit cards were never used for more than bare necessities and to pay tuition and fees one semester so now they're maxed out. Right now, I haven't had the money to pay them because of missing work due to medical circumstances and rent, food and utilities were more important. I get up to fifteen calls a day and frankly, I'm ignoring them until I can afford to do something. I don't live extravagantly by any means and our idea of a splurge is eating out once a month. I'm tired of the phone calls and I know my credit has gone to hell in a handbasket, but really how much worse can it get? I'm more worried about the basic necessities. These credit cards (especially Citicards who started calling 5-8 times a day the minute I was overdue) can wait their turns as far as I'm concerned.

This week's poll
The high cost of jet fuel has a lot of people staying at home this summer instead of traveling. Is there a "staycation" in your immediate future?
Yes, I just can't afford a plane ticket and/or hotel room right now.
No, I've saved up all year just to get away for a bit.
Maybe, I have to wait and see how my finances pan out.
