On a recent broadcast Clark reiterated his faith in free market capitalism as opposed to a government directed hybrid form of capitalism. He also said that he feels like he is supporting the minority opinion in this particular debate.

I live in Virginia, an am asked "by law" to pay VA sales tax on any items I purchase out-of-state. I do this because I believe I must obey the law and have the responsibility to follow laws even when I cannot be checked up on.

As evidenced by the recent economic meltdown, common sense is not required to hold a decision-making position in Congress or a large financial institution. Some of the more recent changes indicate some level of reasonable thinking. Requiring higher credit standards from new mortgage loan consumers will benefit our economy. Now credit card market changes are occurring, as you mentioned on your show.

I just want to warn anyone as gullible/uninformed as I that, if you purchase a prepaid phone card, it's no bargain if you pay for more minutes than you use before the card expires. I never even noticed a limit on my Kroger phone card -- until an attempted call elicited an expiration notice instead of a connection.
