My Credit Union sent my money to Unclaimed Money!!
Clark, I had money in Emory Federal Credit Union for a long time. I always heard / thought that it was a good idea to keep a savings account open in a credit union. I have received statements regularly. I recently decided to start depositing more money into the account for an emergency fund. I called to find out how to do direct deposit. I opened the account in 1999. They said that there hasn't been any activity in 5 years, and they closed my account 3 days ago and sent my money to the state in unclaimed property. I have gotten regular statements with my balance, and my last statement was dated 9/30/09. I haven't moved or changed my number. They never told me they were turning my money over to unclaimed property.

Christa,There are no links for the Hot Travel Deals. How the heck do I find out for example which airline is offering $139 one way ticket to Bozeman, MT. I am frustrated there is no direction on the website as to how to take advantage of the travel deals mention. I even looked at the FAQ's and was unable to see.

Clark Stinks
I love the Clark Howard and all the advice he gives, keep it up. I'm a stand up comedian down in Myrtle Beach and I want desperately to come out on stage to the Clark stinks intro song. I can't find it anywhere and wondering if that is a song or an intro cropped together? Thanks and I love listening to the show.
Free audiobooks available online
Clark Howard implied recently to a young boy that there are no free audiobooks online. I respectfully disagree. See: http://librivox.org/ http://www.gutenberg.org/ These websites carry audio versions of books that have passed into the public domain. I believe "Lord of the Rings" may still be under copyright.
I'm sorry this isn't in response to your blog, but I don't want to create an account to post to your message boards and there doesn't seem to be a email address available for this sort of thing.
It may be too much to ask, but as I don't listen to the show every day, perhaps you could acknowledge seeing this?
Clark's Bad Advice
I would like to make a comment about some advice that Clark Howard gave on his show a couple of months ago. He instructed his viewers to write a letter to the Credit card companies refusing new terms of contract for cardholders. I followed your advice word for word Clark and the Card company has not only canceled my card but tacked on an extra $119.00 in charges and fees. You are a moron Mr. Howard. You and your team should start watching what you tell people when it comes to their credit and well-being. I have been loyal fan of HLN and used enjoy watching your show. I can say that I will not be watching HLN or or your program any more and I will also make it a point to others that you give bad advice.

We received a couple weeks ago a check from Garvey Homes, LTD draw to United Texas Bank. By looking at it check look ok. but we're wonder if that a new fraud.
Generic Drugs
Not long ago the show had a caller complaining to Clark about the quality of generic drugs. The caller stated that she worked in a doctor's..so I guess that make her some sort of expert on the pharmaceutical industry. She made a claim that generic drugs can have a 20% variance in potency compared to branded drugs. She is misinformed, probably by all the drug reps that bring her doughnuts and lunch to the office. I am a pharmacist and very familiar with regulations that govern our industry. The caller had her info backwards. Proprietary companies are allowed a 20% error vs generic or secondary companies are only allowed 5%. These companies are highly scrutinized. I fully support Clarks position on generic drugs. BEST BUY AND ASUS RIPPED OFF A 13 YEAR OLD
Where is clark howard?? I am battling ASUS right now and I was told to contact him. I don't know how to use all the function of a computer, but how about on your 13th birthday you computer crashes and I send it back twice and they won't replace it or give me my money back after 17 days. And by the way I bought it from best buy online which has a 14 day policy and reverted me to ASUS. This is horrible.Where did Americans customer service wonder of to?
