If you're a knitter, you know the term "yarn stash." My stash is obscene, so I've decided to try to knit on it rather than buy new yarn in light of my efforts to save money.
Much of my stash came from the staff trip to Argentina. Clark laughed at me because I bought a suitcase to bring back all of the yummy yarn I found there.
Having an inexpensive hobby is a great way to relax, and for me, knitting is at the top of my list (along with yoga and exercise). So if you've ever wanted to take up knitting, I want to share some tips with you.
First, check out the FREE tutorials on knitting at this website. It's fantastic, and you can bookmark it for when you need to learn a new stitch.

Next, get yourself to a knitting store asap! At most stores I've been to around the country, there are fantastic women and men who are more than willing to help you learn the craft. If you're ever in Atlanta, you MUST, and I do mean MUST, visit Knitch in Virginia Highland. Check out their website at www.knitchknitting.com
Knitch has two farm tables where you can sit around knitting and chatting as you sip a cup of their signature coffee. You will always see a smiling face when you walk in, and you can feel the fiber love as you walk in the door. It's truly my favorite spot in Atlanta.
